The place is flawless clean! I have stayed in eight different accommodations in my New Zealand trip. This is the cleanest one. The owners invested in the accommodation which is furnished with good branded appliances and utensils! Sally, the owner, is very friendly and she grew beautiful flowers around the accommodations. Highly recommended!

The reception staff were friendly and personable. They were very knowledgeable of the area and recommended sights to see in Dunedin. The room was meticulously well maintained and cleaned.

We rented rooms overlooking the beach. It was quite nice listening to the surf! There are several restaurants nearby and we found them to be quite good for both dinner and breakfast.

Alcala Motor Lodge offers affordable accommodation just minutes from Dunedin Botanic Gardens and Otago Museum and shopping centres and speciality stores.
