The service was excellent. the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and attended quickly to all our needs. The independent surfing instructors were great too! We loved our room as well particularly the balcony. The location is amazing, just a few steps from a smooth sandy beach with the perfect waves for all levels of surfers. The water is shallow for a long way in without any rocks which makes it ideal for families with younger kids.

Bobbie who was our host made OUTSTANDING breakfast for us and both mornings of our stay. She loves making beautiful and lovingly prepared foods and we over ate in a big way! We chose this space on the river as apposed to the seafront as we knew it would be set back from the loud hustle and bustle and nice and peaceful (which it was) yet still a short walk into town. Loved upstairs seating area where we enjoyed evening drinks and our first morning coffees. Bobbie also assisted on two traveler issues we had and went out of her way to resolve - so appreciated especially when one is tight on time and a foreign traveller.

Thusara guest house is above all a beautiful place, at the end of a small corner of paradise. The room I occupied is a typical beach vacation room. There is space, it feels good! The bathroom, very large, hot water at will, inside the room, good bedding, silent air conditioning, on top, fan. And icing on the cake, a wifi, fast! :.) Here, it is above all a place where you like to come back and find a friend, with whom to share your day or more intimately, your life. Thusara, smiling, happy, jovial, always ready to help and advise the best corners. It is a pleasure to have met his wife, his children. The room is located 1 mn from the beach... a short way down... nearby, restaurants, bars... far enough away not to be disturbed at night. At your disposal, a small kitchen, fridge, electric kettle... the breakfasts are extra!! For experienced surfers, Mirissa beach and not far, Matara.. for beginners, 5 minutes by scooter, Weligama beach (turning point school was great). The top of the top... and even Muy Thai lessons nearby (ask at the restaurant on the beach run by a Frenchman). I advise, of course, Go for it!

Charindu and the staff are amazing. I have had a great stay and from 6 accommodations in Sri Lanka, this is my favourite (also compared to hotels). I had some special request due to some health issues and they arranged everything so that it would suite my needs. Everyone is very friendly and helpful! Super clean villa! You can really see that it matters to them more than just to make money. Loved the fact that is close to nature and away from the loud music or the road. Lots of birds and animals 🥰 I would definitely stay here and would not trade it for another place

It was absolutely fantastic very hard to find a hotel in Mirissa which actually looks like the actual pictures. This was the one to be at.

Everyone was very friendly. I recommend rooms that have a sea view because they are significantly more comfortable and larger. The food is also very good, but I liked the location the most. I highly recommend
