by far, best choice to stay in Nilaveli/Trincomalee. hotel in front of ocean with clean pool (maintained and cleaned daily, several times). large clean and comfy rooms. we are family of three and had lots of space in duplex room. A/C is new and fully filled, so blasting cool air within seconds of switching on.(so far stayed in several hotels in Sri Lanka, and some A/c were literally non existent, even in much more expensive 5 star hotels) staff is attentive, some minor misunderstandings are swiftly resolved by hotel manager. housekeeping team does amazing job, daily clean/fresh water replenishing. hotel grounds are well maintained. good options for dinner. beach is clean, with enough loungers. we wanted candles for cake- hotel provided some changes in breakfast offer for out 3 year old- team made changes overall, it’s EXCELLENT VALUE and after visiting few other hotels in area, this is BEST CHOICE.

Top hotel at a wonderful beach, very nice wooden cottages, friendly staff and reliable service e.g. the airport transfer. On the way from Colombo to Nilaveli and Trincomalee You are passing jungle and national parks, having wild elephants on the road, an exciting experience also, even though it is a car ride by around 5 hours. Warmly recommended!

This hotel is nestled on Nilavali Beach, a 10-minute boat ride from Pigeon Island. There is no available WiFi, a large outdoor pool and spacious rooms with views of the ocean.

I love coming here, this is my 3rd visit. I love the open space of the resort, the quite nature, the palm trees, the relaxed poolside, the beach views, the calm ocean is great for swimming. Everything about this resort is amazing for adults, this is my happy place to unwind and re-fill my cup. The staff are caring and kind, the food and cocktails at the beachside restaurant is delicious, we enjoyed beautiful soulful music by the very talented musician who plays multiple instruments. The buffet breakfast is to die for, so many delicious options and food choices. The rooms are simple, large and clean, with comfy beds and amazing views out to the pool / ocean. You can do as little or as much as you like, easy to ride into town and see the local sights or go snorkelling, diving or just relax.

Just 50 metres from the Indian Ocean, Nagenahira Beach Villa features spacious villas boasting sea views in Nilaveli. Free WiFi is available in the property’s common areas.

This was such a wonderful place to end our trip. The staff put us so at ease and made our stay incredibly relaxing. We were in the smallest room available, that is described as having no window, however it's much nicer than it sounds! There are glass doors which bring in plenty of light and the tree in the bathroom is enjoyable. We had some great meals at the hotel and the beach is less than a minute away. The hotel has close connections with a tour operator (Boatman) who was great and offered trips all over the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Super clean and big room, place for sitting in front of the room. Great garden, well maintained. Beach is 2 mins away. You can use kitchen for preparing food, refrigerator in the kitchen. Thines is great host, speaks good english. I had a problem with foot wound and Thines was able to help me. Thank you so much!

The sweetest host, who cares deeply about the animals and the environment. With the money he gets he feeds more thank 20cats and 8 dogs he has at home and besides that more than 50 in the woods, that people throw there to die. He works and lives with sole purpuse he feeds and helps the animals. The most genuine, sweet and caring host we had. The location is also perfect, 5minute walk to the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and although no breakfast is provided there is always an option to go to the next building to Mom’s kitchen, that is run by the hosts mother and they have excellent food (for breakfast, lunch or dinner).

Nice, Spacious and comfortable room. Good restaurant for dining. The staff was very helpful and provided with all necessary details for nearby tourist activities, helped with first aid kit when I got injured,etc. The hotel also has tie-ups with local tour guides and provide tour options at considerable rates and their tour guides are top quality and speak good English. Had a lot of fun thanks to Amaranthe.

Great location 1 minute from the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants. The rooms was spacious and nice. The owner was incredibly friendly and nice to us, he helped us organize a whale and dolphin tour and we ended up seeing both! Had a great stay here.
