One of my best experiences in Japan. + Big room (especially for Japan), our room was in the Annex, which seems refurbished + Great breakfast (and great breakfast), be sure to pay the small extra for the Japanese breakfast. We also had dinner... Exquisite + Fantastic garden with a nice panorama of the mountains around Nikko + You're just next to the area with all the temples, so the perfect spot for sightseeing Value was very good for the price but I suspect it was because the off season

The host (Suzuki) and staff members went out of their way to mail back my personal items which I had mistakenly left in the lodge. Am really grateful for that. 🙏🏻 Apart from the location, the lodge is perfect. Lodge was clean, tidy and cozy. The amenities were sufficient for a few days of stay. Nothing to complain about.

The hotel is pretty easy going with relaxed atmosphere. Our room was big and comfortable, but simple. It's a no frills place. Located next to a bus stop or around 40 min by walk to the city centre. It offers breakfasts and dinners for additional fee, which can come handy as there are not many restaurants in Nikko and it's difficult to get a spot without prebooking.

We were amazingly delighted in Ken-san’s hospitality and intrinsic attention to every detail in the apartment decoration. The rustic interior and practicality of every aspect from the toiletries, kitchen appliances, beddings to wall decorations, and simply the way he has made this apartment into a perfect home that we can come back to after a day’s outing. We love it

The hotel room was so spacious. Bigger than your usual hotel rooms. It was really clean and the experience was lovely. Buffet food was good. We really enjoyed the onsen and the cafe had a foot bath where you were able to soak your feet whilst enjoying a cup of tea /coffee and the view of the bridge and nature. Overall a very relaxing weekend away. I would definitely come again.

This is a beautiful place to stay. I recommend getting the breakfast, it's simple but fresh and delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Rooms are lovely and location next to the river makes it very relaxing. We had two children with us so ended up getting a taxi back to the station, it was a little tricky to get there with bags and kids but totally worth it!

The people who own the place are lovely. They let us check in late, they put out free coffee, tea and lemonade and when we left they even drove us to the train station! Room was large and very comfortable, living room area to relax and tables to eat your food. Feels like you're at home!
