Magic place surrounded by nature and rice fields, the best solution for visit Borobudur temple and take a break from the caos of the city. Beautiful swimming pool and Javanese bungalows, Bobby is so funny and do his best to make you feel relaxed and at home. Breakfast super and tour organized by Bobby among rice fields with local people was the best experience we had!

Very good place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Swimming pool and breakfast overlooking the rice fields was something epic! Walking distance from Borobudur temple and surrounded by a contryside manicured like a garden.

The location is superb! Good services, nice room. The dining hall is with great view of Borobudur. They included free afternoon tea, the ticket to climb up the temple, and a very good guidance.

We spent an amazing moment in this place. It is beautiful, cute and cosy. The people working there are more than attentive and caring. Also the access and localisation just 5min away the temple is perfect for visiting. We recommend you to stay at least two days to enjoy a nice relaxing moment in the villages nearby as well and enjoy both visiting and the hotel pool :)

The place is very nice. Clean, luxurious, quiet, restful, had activities that my daughter LOVED. She wanted to stay longer except that we had prebooked flights. Although it was far from the airport, it was near some of the places we wanted to visit. If you're interested in trying the Netflix famous lupis mbah satinem delicacy, this is a nice place to stay in. Booking.com also has a ride available for this, at early in the morning since the line should start at around 430 am. We got club access and the afternoon tea there was refreshing after a day's tour. I highly recommend Hyatt Regency Hotel in Yogyakarta.

Great location, friendly staff. Really nice surroundings with the lake that contains so many colorful fishes. The desk will handout food for the dfishws so you can feed them from your room. We extended our stay and next time when visiting Yogyakarta we will be back.

Ide and Yanni are excellent hosts, they are friendly, helpful and gave us lots of useful information. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed sitting outside our room overlooking the beautiful garden. Ide kindly took us in his car to the new entrance gate of the Buddhist temple.

We stayed at Shankara Hotel with our family and it truly felt like a little piece of paradise! Just 10 minutes walking from Borobudur temple! Our bungalow was lovely, cozy, and well-equipped, with a small pond full of fish that delighted our children. The view over the pool was perfect, and the separate shallow water area made it an ideal and safe space for our little ones to play and have fun. But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the incredible staff. During our stay, we went through a difficult time due to a hospital emergency, and the support we received was simply exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Ayi, Calandra, all the receptionists, and the entire team for taking such wonderful care of me and my daughters during such a delicate moment. Their kindness, empathy, and attention went far beyond what we could have hoped for. Every morning we were welcomed with a rich, varied, and delicious breakfast, the perfect way to start each day with a smile. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Shankara, for making us feel so welcomed, supported, and cared for — just like family. We will definitely be back!
