We stayed for one night to explore the area. Everything was super - room, food (dinner and breakfast). All the staff who we dealt with before and during our stay were excellent.

The County Hotel features a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in Hexham. Located around 34 km from MetroCentre, the inn with free WiFi is also 35 km away from Theatre Royal.

What initially drew me to book the hotel was their candour regarding parking in Hexham. They acknowledged the problem and after the long drive i undertook all was resolved to my satisfaction. You can deposit luggage with them and go to main car park which is only about 3/4 mins walk away. From then on, my stay just got better and better. If i could, i would give them 11 o/o 10, they are that good.

This magnificent 14th-century castle is set in a 12-acre woodland estate.

Very comfortable, well maintained, quality mattress, hot roomy shower. Delicious and generous breakfast. Friendly staff. Lovely outlook at breakfast over the river.

The Railway Hotel & Bistro was exactly what we were looking for, for a quick night in Northern England to visit Hadrian's Wall. The staff were fantastic and accommodating, we were able to get checked in quickly, and hung out in the restaurant for a pint later at night! The breakfast was amazing as well and quite a bit larger than I was expected. If you are in the area and looking for a great place to spend a night I would recommend them!

Well located, beautiful grounds and excellent vista but the view from the room window was onto a dirty roof top unfortunately.

Set in Bardon Mill, 4.3 km from Housesteads Roman Fort, The Twice Brewed Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Excellent room, staff and location. And a Drying Room for walker’s soggy jackets, boots etc! Very clean, modern and convenient room within the old world Twice Brewed building. Great stay. A Drying Room!!!
