Everything was great! The place is fantastic, located in the perfect spot to explore the black forest and the Colmar area. You open your window and see picturesque church, fields and mountains, you cannot believe it! Michael, the host, is a unique person, one of a kind! We have stayed several times and it always is very special. The location is idyllic, the food in the restaurant is absolutely excellent, the room is always great, and the owners are always hugely welcoming.

It’s a family run business, they are all very kind and helpful. Saw New Years fireworks in the valley from our balcony! Good location for the Black Forest, was 45 min drive to full snow in feldberg, which was amazing on New Years Day! Breakfast very nice, German style and they cook you eggs of choice. Brilliant rooms, all very big. Best thing was the robot that helped in the breakfast room, the kids loved it!

The style of the hotel is of old fashioned opulence in the modern day. Beautifully attired, staff excellent throughout from the reception to breakfast. Smoking room and piano bar, easy to think its the 1920's. Will be coming back to this hotel
