The location is pretty much garbage, but the room was updated and nice. Believe it or not. The only problem I had with the room was someone forgot to clean the back of the toilet you can see in the lobby photo below.

The people that run the place are extremely rude. Not to mention there was a major racist symbol drawn on a coconut sitting on the front desk when you walk in.

The room we had wasn’t too bad. The bed was comfy and we had a shower.

When I came to town to visit family, I stayed at this Inn a few times before. This place is Not what it used to be. I had no soap in my room, there was an ironing board and no iron. I had no hangers and there were multiple undesirables hanging on the property. In addition, my cousin no longer lives in the area and chose to stay there once she found out that I was there and rented a room. I took her there around 5pm to get a room. She paid for her room and then we left and returned to her sister's house. The purpose for my trip there was for the funeral of her mother, my aunt. We returned to the hotel after midnight. once my cousin finally went to her room, she checked the bed to make sure no bedbugs or anything were there. What she found was blood and other stains under her covers. She reported this to the front desk and they got upset at her for checking the bed. They stated that they could have her thrown out for a stunt like that. I explained to them that i is a common practice of mine other many others around the world to check the bed. He refused to give her another room. She called the police and they came and saw the room for themselves and stated that they would not stay there either. The management then requested that she leave and they will only give her back the security. I asked why not her full rate being that she did not stay in the room. Their reason was that she checked in earlier. But we explained that she had never entered the room until just now and that they could check their camaras for the footage. He claimed that it was to tedious to go through footage and refused. So after filing a report with the police she left and went to another hotel. This type of service is unacceptable and she is going to file a formal complaint with the courts. Therefore I will never stay here again and advised everyone else to stay away from the Budget Host Inn in Henderson, NC

I only liked the location. The Inn is nothing like it used to be.

The rooms stuck of cigarette smoke. The sheets and covers were dirty and had burnt holes it. We got this room thankfully only to take a shower but my God the shower floor was grossly dirty and the first room the water was cold AF. We had to be switched rooms only for the water to still be luck warm. Worst place I've ever booked but for the price I guess it would be.

The building is ugly and is in an advanced state of disrepair. We checked in late at night...if it had been during the day we wouldn't have stayed based just on overall appearance. Inside, the room smelled stale, there was no chair to sit at the desk, the towels were old and stained (maybe even unwashed?), the fixtures were loose in the shower, the shower curtain was filthy, the toiled was not level (tilted toward the shower), the pillows were old, small and flat, and the air conditioning was noisy. It looked NOTHING like the online ad pictures, so weary travellers, don't be fooled.

The good points: the bed was ok and the sheets seemed to be clean and fresh. The water pressure and temperature of the water was good. The old TV worked,
