How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The in-app virtual key they provided didn't work properly, and the door stuck when trying to open it. We were provided a physical keycard, but it would have been nice to use the virtual one.
Amazing location, comfy beds, friendly staff. It had a really nice, clean pool. Rooms were clean and didn't feel outdated. In-app express check-in/check-out was really convenient and easy.

Loved our oceanfront room. Close to food establishments to walk to. Great beach, pretty clean rooms, comfortable beds. Large 10 cup coffee pot, could have given a couple bottles of water for making coffee. Upon leaving our room at end of our one night stay, we saw something under the wardrobe cupboard…it was a n unopened bottle of Ensure so housekeeping wasn’t thorough for that. We arrived super early and went to check in about 11am and was told our room was still occupied so she assigned us a different room that was actually being cleaned at that moment and was given a “soft” check in was given room keys and was told I would get a text message with a room number. I also received text that I would would be texted when room was ready. At 2:30 I went to office to see if room was ready and was told it was not but that I would get a text with the room number when it was ready. At 3pm I received an email that room was ready and had room number in the email…I never received a text!!

Wife and grandsons meal at the restaurant was bad. Ribs were dry and had bad taste. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had music speaker right outside the room. Pool security lights were bright and made room to bright for sleeping.
Location, access to beach, friendly staff. Overall had a good time .

Funny smell when we got there. Trash in hallways. I got bad impression when arriving that this was an old dump. Got better though. Elevator very busy and slow. Took forever to get VIP tickets for Tuesday night show. bathroom door didn’t close.
The beach. Ocean view. Food at restaurant was good. Liked the Tuesday night show.

Nothing was too fancy but it was clean and serviceable. Quality of onsite food was also nothing special but serviceable. The bathroom in the room could have been updated.
The room was nothing special but clean. We did not use the pool but having one beach front and on the roof was nice. Also having the cafe and grill during the afternoon for snacks and the restaurant for breakfast/dinner was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Could see the light from hallway through curtains, making it a bit hard to sleep. Could use better pillows.
Loved our large room (we got the suite). It was very clean. Parking was close to the room and beach which made it easy to carry stuff to both places. Staff was really friendly. The breakfast buffet was good.

* As all things made by man will be broken over time, and at some point need to be fixed. Silicone was used to keep the tub drain intact, maintenance could step up and do quality repairs doing it the right way instead of right now way. ** Nothing makes a stay more enjoyable than waking up to start your day at the beach or trip back home to a complimentary breakfast buffet without the added cost.(I paid $13.00)
The view of the ocean from the room/balcony was excellent. Surprisingly the parking was very close to my room (4th floor room and parking)
