Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesWalking around Turkey I was repeatedly stopped by police to see my passport stamp. I could not imagine any American has tried to stay in Turkey illegally, so it must be racial based. Good thing I could simply stay in the hotel and mall (and not return). Not cool treatment by general public. Luckily Hilton rocks.

I liked the way everything is organised at the hotel, including the connection to the Mall, where you can shop, drink and entertained. As a hotel guest you have a key to the bridge, connected to the Mall, so you even don't need to go outside to get there. The breakfast was excellent too!

IndiaThe young man at reception (I forgot to ask his name) checked me in and is very welcoming. He announced that he was giving me an upgrade. I naturally thought the upgraded room was on the 11th floor but it turned out to be a room on the 1st floor with a balcony. It was more spacious than the room i stayed in last time (October 2023) but air conditioner was not heating. These were the coldest days of the year so far (attached are screenshots I took inside the room with my very reliable and accurate temperature app). The inside temperature was always in the teens (as low as 14 degrees celsius in the early morning). IMO it is unacceptable in a room that costs 280 Euros per night (no breakfast included).! I didn't ask to change the room because when I read the fine print on my booking confirmation mail it stated the hotel has "air conditioning" but did not mention anything about heating. Perhaps some rooms have no heating and others do (likely that's the case because I didn't notice other guests complaining about the lack of heating in the reviews). In my room the electricity was not powered by a card and in fact the entire room went pitch dark every hour or hour and 10 minutes with all appliances switching off. I assume these frequent cuts (the electricity went back on as soon as I pushed the 'master' button) may explain why the air conditioning was only circulating cold air. I noticed a welcome drink (specifically one cup of coffee) was offered when I made the booking but there was no mention of it on my confirmation email. In the morning I had to go to a meeting near the hotel so I asked one of the housekeeping staff members (a man wearing a suit) who walked on the cirridor if he can find out if I am entitled to a free coffee (to save me from having to run to the mall and drink a coffee there) as I didn't ask for it the previous evening because it was already too late to drink coffee.
It takes 25 to 28 minutes to reach from the airport (I got off at the other side of the highway and crossed it carefully by foot because in the evenings there is a lot of traffic & getting to the entrance would take an extra 20 minutes). I love that cats are allowed to enter as it was freezing outside so it is a kind gesture from the hotel's management especially for kittens who suffer a lot from the freezing temperature and rain during winter months ❤❤ Late check out at 14:30 was given free of charge and the young lady who checked me out (Esra) was kind and professional.

ItalyFor a 5 star hotel at this high price (I paid such a high rate only in Scandinavia and London) I would expect the windows to be clean but they were not (see photos attached). The problem is with the design of the building which makes it possible to clean the windows only by rope climbing and/or heavy equipment and this probably happens only twice a year. One young lady working as security was rude. A friend came to visit me on one day and we entered the hotel from the outside. We proceeded to the gate that links to the mall of Istanbul. Despite that I am a guest at the hotel and that it is impossible to use the bridge link to the mall of Istanbul without using the hotel key to open TWO separate gates the young lady at security in an abrupt manner demanded to know where we are going. I shouted to her across the lobby in Turkish that it is none of her business ("sizin is(h)iniz degil"). It is obvious that there is a problem with the management in this hotel and/or a lack of training of employees that they think it is acceptable to treat guests in a derogatory fashion.
The hotel is clean and the lobby is beautiful. The adjacent mall is large and has a couple of good dining options. The reception staff is friendly as are the staff in the restaurant - especially Mrs. Vesile and Mr Sefa (all waiters were courteous and helpful).

United KingdomThe sound proof on the adjoining room door I was woken a couple of times in the night when someone was on the telephone...it was as if they are in the room with me.
From the moment I arrived the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful - they went beyond expectation which was wonderful and quite rare these days. My only down side was the noise from the adjoining room door - this was a little intrusive on a couple of occasions in the night. Otherwise the hotel is super comfortable, the Spa exceptional - special mention to Ellis. I also visited the hair dresser in the hotel which was great value for money and as good as I would get home, and very quick The room service was pretty prompt and the food - especially the Lamb Chops excellent Breakfast offer a huge range of breads and cakes and really wonderful fresh fruit. I will stay here again without any qualms.
