How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No coffee facilities inside the room. Nothing that I can really think of. If I have to be very picky I will say that I would prefer real toilet paper instead of the one provided but that's a very small thing. Overall it was a very nice stay.
Very nice place minutes away of Lake Bohinj. The room was big, clean, with a nice balcony and a nice view. They have a restaurant downstairs which serves delicious food. Def worth the try! Breakfast was good as well. Parking is on site and free, very convenient. Staff was nice and overall, a very nice place to stay if you are visiting this beautiful lake.

No such thing
The staff was really nice, we got to the place quite late and it was no problem at all. The breakfast was good, rooms were clean, the bed is really confy :) it was easy to find it. I would totally recommend it!

Slight misunderstanding where I deemed the male member of staff at the bar to speak to me rudely when I asked about check in and it wasn’t quite the time, was very short with me, no issues following this though. Blonde female working the restaurant however gave great service.
Great location for lake Bohinj, cosy room, very good restaurant on site.

While the rooms were on the smaller side, the cozy ambiance added to the intimate charm of the place, ensuring a comfortable stay despite the limited space.

The signal and Wi-Fi were out in the morning. Not the accommodation's fault but I need to mention it.
Car parking on the lot (even has more spaces on the other side of the road, which we didn't know about as other reviews mentioned people not having space to park when the restaurant guests arrive). Tidy and cute room. Easy check-in. Tasty breakfast.

The hotel and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful - It made our experience really nice! And the food at the restaurant was amazingly good. The room was small and basic but comfortable and had everything we needed.

A sugestion would be AC in the room, my room was in the top floor so it was a bit hot (the window did had a bug screen that helped).
The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful, good food in the restaurant. Would stay here again no problem :) !

Was super hot at night! Could have done with a fan 😊
The room is a great size and perfect for a few days stay. The breakfast was very good and the staff were really friendly when we checked in. The restaurant below is EXCELLENT - we ate there both nights 😊

hotel is next to the road expect some noise if you open the windows at night (no AC in the rooms). However no noise when windows are closef. breakfast is not so nice, with no local products or fresh nice things expect to be disappointed.

The noise from the road was rather loud in the bedroom. The quality of our room and fittings on the second floor was lower than bedrooms on the first floor. No room cleaning was done during the week, just towels were changed.
Accommodation had great character with lovely views. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
