How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location, very close to the bus station and the lagoon. Very clean. Staff was very accommodating regarding check in and check out times.

Paper thin walls - you can hear the neighbours loud and clear. It was also a bit annoying living in the corner room that is right by the street, because we could hear the noise of cars and people.
Good value for money - one of the cheaper stays in Nida, but great for a few nights to spend. We arrived earlier and the host let us in before the check-in time. Beautiful outside terrace to have breakfast or just chill in. Comfortable bedding, clean sheets, excellent location, as the city centre is nearby. Good bathrooms as well. Every room has a sink and mirror - big plus!

Sometimes there was an odd smell in the hallway, maybe from the cleaning products they use.
The location was perfect, and the stay was a great value for money. The bathrooms and a shower were shared but clean and convenient (we visited on Monday-Wednesday, so perhaps not the busiest time). There is a kitchen and tables with sunroofs to eat outside, overlooking the lagoon. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

- Shower could take a little more maintenance - I didn't use the kitchen but unfortunately it wasn't the cleanest due to other guests, so no fault on the staff
- Location, although ground floor rooms are next to the street so noisy in the morning - Staff super accommodating and nice, they checked us in early and kept our luggage after check-out - Sink in the room for the shared toilet rooms - Shared toilets very clean

No liquid for dishwash. There are two entrances, but kitchen is only in one side of the house. To use the kitchen you need to go out and use second entrance to go to make food in kitchen.
Good location, easy check in, nice balcony. Basic room equipment, but we get everything for one night stay. Kettle, some plates, cups for tee and fridge we had in our room. This is house in traditional wooden style with more rooms-apartments.

I did not feel safe all the time as the doors upstairs did not lock and there were suspicious people disturbing our peace. It was also cold on the first night,

I can't speak Russian.Yet😜
I learn some russian words since the maids were from Ukraine.😜 The room was big and with all the amenities.Bathroom also nice,not so spacious but you have all the basic features. Very close to Nida bus station and very close to seaside. You have some bike rental places few meters away from location. P.S.:since I was the only one on accommodation, the owner(which is a nice woman) asked me if I want to switch with a different room with bathroom inside.It was a perfect ideea.Thanks.

The location was great - so close to the harbor, restaurants, and just a quick 20 minute or so walk to the beach or the sand dunes. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable! I really appreciated that there was a sink in the room.

The SMELL. Terrible SMELL everywhere: in room, in kitchen, in facilities - everywhere. Not possible to connect with adminstration, no one is here. No possibility to keep your belongings for saving for a few hours. Even no paper in WC. Very old property without any renovation.
The only thing i may could mention that in that property mostly are staying old people thus its calm at the night (if in the street and surroundings no one is celebrating life :) )
