Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesA few minuses: 1) Heat/cool controls are centrally located and managed by the front desk. When asked they turned off/on the heated floors. The unit had two overhead A/C but managed by the desk and no way for us to control or turn on, so only they decide when the A/C can be used. With high yellow dust and air pollution outside we couldn't open the balcony door, this made our room stuffy and hot. The one thing we could do was to vent the room using a button on the light controller. That said, excellent air filtration so we never experienced dust or bad air inside the room. 2) Simple breakfast. I think what is available changes based on busy/slow season. Unfortunately, that meant: Toast with butter and strawberry jelly Two types of dry cereal and milk Two types of cup of soup ramen (hot or not hot) Coffee / espresso / tea bag Cabbage salad We only went once and were disappointed, as when we factor how much a room costs that includes breakfast in how much it costs overall, and by paying in advance we paid a night more than the going rate when we checked in. That was a first time that has ever happened.
We stayed multiple nights in the large suite with balcony. About 1200 SQ ft. We enjoyed our stay. Lots of pluses: Spacious His and hers rain showers His and hers bidet toilets Huge wall of windows Huge balcony Apartment-sized refrigerator Microwave Also heated floors throughout, great for cool/cold weather stays We asked to reserve a parking spot and they did at no extra cost. We asked to check out 1 hour later 12pm instead of 11am and they allowed it, at no extra cost as the room was not occupied that night. More pluses: We enjoyed the view! The hotel is on the edge of the city, so an excellent view of the rice fields and the mountains in the distance. Lots of restaurants are close by. Easy access to the main roads and highway. Close to the wet lands and bay. Do we recommend? YES!

South KoreaThe breakfast wasn't great. One of the lights in my room appeared to be broken as it didn't turn on leaving the place kind of dark, although cozy. The bathroom vent was very loud.
The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. The shower had consistently warm water. The view from my room was great, the decor is nice and warm. It's near the bus stop, convinence stores and restaurants.

United StatesSeating/chair amounted to one that was uncomfortable. Improved lighting and perhaps wallpapering might brighten up the room that felt bland and dim. Continental breakfast was minimal but decent. The patrons were not overly boisterous but unruly in the food line.
Convenient location, underground parking, continental breakfast, front desk staff at check in and check out were very nice.

AustraliaVery late check in time of 4pm. The usual is 3pm. Designer bathroom but no shelf space to put anything. Free breakfast was just toast, cold slaw, 2 cereals and cup noodles and kimchi. Tea, coffee and juice. Dining area is tiny so you might have to wait if they are busy. No tourist maps or anything available for guests. But thats just being picky.
Nice hotel. Good size room. Nice view, close to amenities and restaurants. Free parking. Value for money

South KoreaBreakfast quality is rather poor.
The room felt snug but spacy due to the arrangement of the furniture. I loved the huge windows to let in all the sunlight. It is located to many local restaurants within a walking distance which is convenient.

The breakkie was good, very simple but that’s all we need to kick for the start of the day I guess!! The staff who looked after the breakfast bar was very kind and motivated!!

AustraliaThe room was a little dark however one of the down lights was not working. During the day it was fine as we opened the curtains and had natural light from the large windows.
The property was very clean and the staff tried to help us as much as they could.

GermanyThe room was facing a very (!) busy and big road that was clearly audible even through closed windows. Most importantly, the road made the advertised terrace and bathtub on the terrace basically unusable - we would have to wait until a red traffic light to have a brief conversation that would then be interrupted by cars starting again. The bathrobe provided was a fun feature but had quite a lot of hair inside despite having been washed and sanitised. Staff spoke zero English but were helpful as far as we were able to communicate with them through a translator app.
Nice room aesthetically speaking. Many shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood and walking distance to the garden expo. We did not get to try to the breakfast because we overslept.

CanadaI had no control of the floor heating in my room and it woke me up it the night when it suddenly got really warm. I didn't realize I should have turned the aircon on before bed.
I really liked the hot tub on the balcony. The bed was also super comfortable.
