The location is beautiful; close to the sea and in the city center. The man who checked me in was very very kind, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean.

Only issue I had was in the shared kitchen. The couple in the other room didn’t seem to realise that the space was shared. My prosciutto -labelled- disappeared when the couple cleared out the fridge. Needs signs and labels.

The only problem was the sockets, in which only a charger could be plugged in, but not a multi-pin connector. Otherwise they were enough, there was even a USB next to each one. Ours, however, were type C and we had trouble with that because the splitter for it only went into the outlet in the bathroom. The current is controlled with a switch, which is ok considering we tourists splurge, but it would be great if at least one normal outlet worked to charge our camera while out to dinner for example....

Good location, clean room, all that we need in bathroom, even enough. We were greeted in the fridge by a large bottle of water, beer, juices, aperitif... it was nice. As well as handmade cookies from the family.

Owner is lovely. We had the pleasure of meeting his mum and she was very helpful. He was very responsive and helpful too. The place was very clean, offered a fridge and a coffee machine as well as a small kitchen. I would definitely recommend.

A truly excellent find! Although I stayed only one night, I wish I could have stayed for at least a week. Casa Ortigia is conveniently located in the heart of Ortigia, yet in a rather quiet and cozy alley. My room was both clean and charmingly decorated; the bed was super-comfy, and I even had a cute tiny balcony! The bathroom was spotless and everything worked smoothly. What made my stay especially memorable was the extreme kindness and helpfulness of my host, Ivan, and his mother: the later personally welcomed me to the BnB, while the former answered all my questions (and even provided some excellent advice on some less-known cultural sites!) on WhatsApp. I strongly recommend that you try the organic Moro oranges from Ivan's father orchard - they are sweetly scented and delicious, and were offered to me upon my arrival!

no negatives at all, amazing stay and the hosts are incredible!

the location of this room is honestly prefect, you can see the sea from your balcony and the main square is a 5 minute walk but I think the nicest thing about this place is the owners. They where so friendly and nothing was too much. At one point we couldn't get a train due to it being a Sunday and they offered to drive us 30 minutes away to our friends wedding because they said taxi would be to expensive! Honestly you wont regret staying here it is lovely.

I liked how clean, cute and comfortable the room was. Molta commoda e bella! They even left a typical sweet and had fresh oranges for guests in the shared kitchen which I thought was a fantastic touch. ☺️ The owner was very helpful giving advice on the isola too. 100% would return... Grazie mille!
