No parking available, quite a big hotel with many guest and young turists, USB sockets were not working (in the other room lever tap was loose - just a small things). I realty hated many promo emails and messages from the hotel.

Located in the very centre of Reykjavik, with many restaurants, pubs, clubs and pedestrian Zone. Sound proof windows were ok, so you can have a good night sleep. Many, especially young turists, so some rooms might be after time "over-used". Our was however perfectly clean, with no damages. Comfortable sleep, good breakfast.

A few of the staff were very professional and aloft.... Not very helpful when booking the airport transfer with them. I guess they might be very busy or tired so although my request was very straightforward (date, time, type of transfer all decided), we were told we can book online.

There were some noisy guests that opened the security locks on their doors so they did not close. This allowed them to push into each others room while socializing at night. The doors banged shut each time they came and went. Very hard to sleep. The staff responded very quickly and all was well. This hotel was just very busy and full. That is the reason for my lower review for this location in a large city. I would stay again - had a quieter location last visit.

We liked the central location and the vibe of the place. Many people gathered in the shared lobby and made it more social for all.

Breakfast was very good and they were constantly making sure items were refilled. The room was fairly spacious, the beds were comfortable, the shower was good with lots of hot water and it was clean.

As a Southern European and a frequent traveler I found the price of the room exorbitant (I know it is not by Icelandic standards). Just saying...

Excellent location, close to shops, restaurants and quite a few of the main attractions. Quite near to the University main campus, too. Breakfast was very good in terms of quality with a nice selection of cold and warm dishes, fruit etc. The staff was helpful and the room was clean.

The breakfast was a problem. No regular plates, the only cutlery available were spoons and the coffee pot was empty after my first cup. Staff kept bringing out food but didn’t, bring cutlery or coffee.

I was only there two nights, so it didn’t really matter, but there is no dresser or anywhere to store belongings, and my suitcase did not fit on the luggage rack. So I had to leave my suitcase open on the floor and that is not a comfortable way to have to find things.

Good location and clean and bright room. The front desk staff was very helpful and had good suggestions.

During the months with more sunlight, the curtains don’t completely block out light around the corners, making it hard to get the room completely darkened for sleeping.

Mainly the people rather than the person in our last day was rude. On the 26th, when we arrived, I was really surprised that they acted impatient when I asked for a receipt and denied saying she was busy. Meanwhile, my colleague got her receipt. We come there to get a service, and it would be nice if we didn't pay and suffer bad behaviour. I recognized that this might also be a national thing, but there were some places like Blue Lagoon where the service staff was extremely nice.

Bumped my head three times in the bathroom, because the ceiling on the fourth floor was very slanted and low. And I am not that tall. 1.78m.

My TV was not working. They offered me to change rooms. What I wanted it was to change TV. I don’t want to be inconvenienced to re-pack again to move rooms. Best solution would have been to move the Working TV where they wanted to move me to my room !! Doesn’t that make sense ?
