Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe room had some wear and tear, although it was not really annoying. One night I ordered dinner from the hotel's restaurant to my room, and the food was average (the grilled chicken; the Greek salad that I also ordered was nice). There was some distant, faint noise from the street; it was so subtle that I did not care at all. However, I am leaving this piece of information here because some people may be super-sensitive to even the slightest noise.
Great location and great view of the National Garden ("Ethnikos Kipos"), Imittos (Hymettos) mountain, and Lykavittos (Lycabettus) hill. Very polite and friendly staff. Large, clean room with a nice bed and pillows. A superb breakfast with a great variety of tasty and fresh options (both international and local, e.g., spanakopita (spinach pie), bougatsa (a Greek sweet pastry with cream), among others!) Extra plus in the breakfast: the option of freshly squeezed orange juice.

TurkeyThe beds could be more comfortable, but they are adequate. Additionally, the rooftop bar closes a bit early at midnight; it would be nicer if it stayed open later.
This place is conveniently located near Syntagma Square, right in front of the tram, and very close to the train station, making it easy for travelers coming from the airport to find. Many popular attractions are within walking distance, adding to the convenience. The rooms are fair enough for families. The breakfast is fantastic, offering a wide variety of options. The hotel's rooftop features amazing cocktails and a stunning nighttime view of the Acropolis. While we didn't try the food, the overall experience was superb.

FranceRooftop restaurant was excessively expensive but nice for a drink with a view. Soundproofing of the doors could be better. Corridor conversations were quite audible, but fortunately the aisles were quiet during the night.

CanadaOccasional traffic noise at night. It’s a busy street after all.
Can’t beat the location. It’s worth spending extra to get the rooms with balcony facing the garden and parliament. Traffic can be noisy at night but to be expected since hotel faces a busy street. Walk to metro and all attractions, shopping and restaurants. Getting to and from hotel to port or airport is super easy. Very helpful staff and great breakfast selections.

Perfect location. Very nice, clean and comfortable room (1 double bed and one extra bed for our 6 year old). Very good breakfast with lots of choices. Although the room faced the main street it was very quiet when we closed the windows. Very helpful and polite staff.

LithuaniaGood place, comfort and service for reasonable price at the center of Athens and superb access by underground. No taxi needed, but M3 line right from airport. Acropolis museum 12min. walk, also recommended before visiting Acropolis on the mountain and if you will take guided tour in museum it will give you completely different perspective of an ancient Acropolis and Athens development. Restaurants, caffes all around ;)

IrelandFor once, there is nothing we would change!
Without exception the staff were efficient, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and good. We loved our room and balcony with a view of the Greek Parliament building and the changing of the guard. There is an "old fashioned" sense of service in this hotel that we rarely encounter now in our travels. We can particularly recommend the roof top restaurant with views of the Acropolis. The food was gourmet and the whole experience was first class. We thank Gregory and Sakis in particular for their care and courtesy. And of course the location is perfect for both visiting Athens and also for access to the airport. We look forward to our next visit.

United StatesThe breakfast package the hotel sent with us was a disappointment. A simple one of fruit, a pastery and water would have been more welcome., or we would have understood no breakfast at all. In all, a small matter.
Breakfast options were terrific! The staff was very welcoming and helpful-especially the night staff in sending us off in a 5am taxi. We loved the location! We would definitely recommend your hotel.

This property is in a central location in Athens - our room had a fantastic view of the National Gardens and it was even possible to have a partial view of the changing over of the guards from the balcony. It’s easy to visit all the main sites of Athens from here - a nice walk to the ancient areas. It was great that our room was automatically upgraded when we arrived. The Olivia toiletries in the room are really nice too. All staff are very friendly, informative and attentive. The top floor restaurant, Whispers, had amazing views of the city, including of the Acropolis and Panathenaic Stadium. The food was so delicious, and the atmosphere so nice, that we went twice. The staff in the restaurant were particularly kind, enthusiastic and efficient. Really impressed by this hotel, especially in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in in Athens.

IsraelThe dinner option in the bar of the hotel could be better considering the quality of the hotel
This is a quality hotel in the optimal location: opposite the National Garden, 2 minutes from the Syntagma Square, 5 minutes from the Ermou shopping street, 10 minutes from the Plaka neighborhood, 15 minutes from the Acropolis Museum, 20 minutes from the Acropolis. On the seventh floor is a restaurant of the highest standard. The staff are amazing, especially Julie and Nikos who helped us with few problems we had, and advised places to go and restaurants. We thought it was much more than their duties! Thanks Julie and Nikos. The breakfast is excellent and the room was very comfortable.
