Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe air conditioning was little loud/ineffective but nothing that became intolerable.
The hotel seemed reasonably new as it was very modern, clean and in good condition. The welcome from the staff was excellent, everything explained simply to us. The reception/dining/relaxation area was very modern. The room was a good size with a very big bed. It was clean and had a great view of the harbour. The self-service breakfast was always well stocked in the mornings and had enough range for all tastes to be satisfied. It is a little bit out of the city centre but yet in a very lively, cool area next to a tram stop. It took 11 minutes on the (very regular) tram to get in to the city centre. Overall it was excellent value for money.

GermanyRooms rather on the small side, but comfortable.
Funky hotel. Young, laid back, modern, graffiti style. Location is in a newly built hotel area on the port, next to the City du Vin (slightly off city centre). Small, but comfortable rooms. Comfortable bed. Ok breakfast. Eventually fun atmosphere. Parking is round the corner (15 EUR / day is actually cheap for Bordeaux).

IrelandWe only had to use the air conditioning on the last night and for some reason it wasn’t cool enough even though I lowered the temperature quite a lot. I forgot to mention this when we checked out the next morning.
It was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was brilliant.

France- the view was to the next building, the windows very dirty. - no parking and the nearest one is 15 euro per day - the breakfast was good, BUT there was a great problem with the breakfast management (and this problem totally pissed me off): not enough place in the lobby, people having their breakfast and conference calls at the same place ( really, I have no clue how it is going during the high season), waiting time for the restock of the omelette/ salads etc- 15-20 minutes. And the hotel is located in the suburbs, so there are not so many places to go to have a breakfast.
We really enjoyed our room. very clean, well equipped room, nice design and very comfortable bed and sound isolation. Everyday cleaning, board games in the lobby. Breakfast was included. Wi-FI connection was ok.

Czech RepublicSome parts of the bathroom were unfinished. I understand the urban concept, but the peeling plaster by the sink is not cool. Breakfast was solid, but could be more plentiful.
The concept of the hotel is so cool. The room was comfortable, with plenty of space for our belongings. The rooms are excellently soundproofed. The location is absolutely top-notch

United KingdomWe think 20 euros a night for a little dog to stay is a lot but then again the room for us humans wasn’t that expensive The staff did however give the dog some treats and gave her a lovely welcome
Quirky hotel with very welcoming staff It’s a different concept and we really liked it - much less formal than hotels normally are The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely - liked the storage concept in the rooms - original We liked the ceiling too - minimalist finish as it us in concrere Sheets , pillows and towels all good quality Good choice for breakfast -15euros ( hot and cold ) although little fruit left by 830AM - must have had a lot of guests in before us The area is a couple of km from the centre down by the river - it’s lovely - newly developed and clean with lots of bars and restaurants and green spaces too Very well situated to admire all of wonderfully designed architectural structures and buildings in the area We only stayed one night - would like to have stayed longer - maybe next time !
