The heavy doors were quite noisy. When any room shut their door it could be heard along the corridor and in the room.

We absolutely loved our room and our stay. The staff were all amazing.

There were some quirky things about the room like turning on the lights with a key card, and no heat when the temps got into the 40s. Also some strange noises in the early morning, but we did not hear any street noise.

Our location was great and the staff very helpful. A big hit were the chocolate croissants for their continental breakfast and a very robust coffee machine.They also have a nice outside patio and sitting room.

Room 108 can be noisy if guests are using the lounge, but you can close the double doors.

There definitely could have been a place to put your clothes in the room like a closet or some drawers. Also it was very hot in our room and I went to the lobby and asked how to turn on the A/C and she said that the building controls the temperature on right now it was on heat!! It was very uncomfortable so we slept with the windows open.

This hotel was amazing! Beautiful architecture and history and the location was perfect! The staff was very helpful and very friendly! The outdoor patio was our hangout spot. Beautiful seating and flowers. Loved the showers!

The staff didn’t offer me the daily bottles of water. As it supposed to be 2 bottles of letter to be offered everyday. However, I’ve got it only in first day during check in. I went to reception for asking it. The receptionist was reluctant to give me though he finally gave me. However, I was asked to pay £4 for the bottle of water during check out yesterday. I didn’t know why but I still paid for it because I had no time to negotiate with the receptionist( he was not the staff who gave me bottles of water in reception, he didn’t know what happened).

It would be better if the single beds in the twin room weren't right next to each other, because they were very soft and moved a lot, so every time my friend moved in the night it woke me up. I personally would have preferred a proper door between the bedroom and the bathroom. Constantly having to open and close the rickety old sliding doors was a bit tedious. My friend loved the period features of the hotel though.

Excellent location and the staff were very helpful. The lady receptionist was particularly knowledgeable and helpful.

We had a daily room which was amazing. Unfortunately outside was a communal are which got a bit noisy at night. It didn't affect our 5 year old who sleeps like a log but it's something to bear in mind if you have young kids who are light sleepers.or whom find it difficult to get to sleep. That said the noise never went past 22:00 on the 3 nights we stayed

Bed was too soft and i feel needed to be replaced. Was a bit sagging at the side. And there was a bad smell from the bathroom probably from the drainage.

The room was quite narrow and small with little room for personal items, so one side of the bed was necessarily up against the wall. The breakfast consists entirely of (very good) croissants and chocolate croissants, plus tea&coffee. More variety of breakfast foods would be nice. It took a while to figure out how to make the shower spray "wand" go on without having the "rain" showerhead on too. (With the "rain" showerhead turned on, it quickly made a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor outside the shower.) And then the wand's mount was about 3' from the floor, way too low, so you had to hold it while showering/washing your hair, which is awkward. It shouldn't be that hard for them to provide a higher mount for the wand.

Mostly a nicely appointed room in a beautiful old building with a comfortable bed.

After a couple of nights attempting to control the temperature in my room I finally figured out that you had to point the control directly at the heating/cooling unit for it to work. That meant getting out of bed and standing directly in front of the unit, holding the control high in the air, and pointed directly at the sensor. There was dirt in the shower that had washed in through an outside window, presumably from a recent rain. The shower curtain did not adequately cover the opening and so cold air came in while the water went out on the floor. There was a phone in the room but no instructions as to how to contact the front desk. Overall these were minor annoyances and most could be improved with oversight by management and improved client communication.

The hotel was a beautiful example of old world charm and ambiance. Location was excellent regarding central Barcelona, transportation, and the Rambla. I can't imagine the complexity of managing a vintage property such as this.

The room needed a bit of additional attention due to the location next to the patio and there was a smell from the plumbing fixture in the bathroom. It is also located next to the lounge and the walls are fairly thin so sound carries.

The location was great. Room was spacious and comfortable . Coffee & croissants in the morning. Also had WiFi (portable) available. Staff remedied one of the issues we had with the room and were friendly and helpful.

It would have been helpful to have a handrail to help get in and out of the shower and the shower could have had a more non slip surface.

It was very well situated. The staff were excellent and couldn’t have done more to help. The bed was super comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud!

Rooms were small but I knew we were not planning extended time in them. Having courtyard available helps reduce this becoming problematic.

This hotel was conveniently located. Easy to walk or take subway to favorite locations around Barcelona. Staff was very accommodating preparing our room for an early check-in. A cup of coffee and lovely courtyard were provided while we waited. Staff also ensured an early morning taxi was arranged for an early morning airport run.

Rambla at night doesnt feel super safe

The building is stunning inside and outside. Fantastic terrasse and bow-windowed common room. Coffee and croissants in the morning allowed us to have a quick breakfast before visiting the city
