Positive section of review
This is a very good place to stay if you are visiting Playa del Carmen. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. The vibe we get from the balcony is so amazing. We found the host extremely kind and helpful. Nice, central area, close to the beach and also close to all the shops, market, restaurants and night life. Will definatly return to this place for next vist… We had a wonderful time, thank you!

Well... in the period we were there they were renovating the building in front of the hotel. A "little" noisy week, but I think that one day the renovating will be over. :) The breakfast: let say - basic. But really basic (toast & jam). But... considering the price we paid for the accommodation at the hotel Coco Rio... it's ok.

Apartment had everything you need and the host was really friendly and helpful. Location was great- short walk to 5th avenue and the beach but far enough to be quiet when you want to sleep!

Nice beach with lots of loungers. Food was good. Bar/ Cafe in "The Meeting Point" had very good coffee and drinks. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

No swim up bar in the pool at the adults only section. Very long lineups to get a drink - had one or two bartenders and one bar for everyone a the pool. Loungers on beach were plastic and not cushioned. Room although clean, were very dated.

The location is perfect because it’s close to the market and transportion is 1.5 miles away/Taxi outside of door. In addition, the rooms are very clean.

There is no air con and the room smells like toilet and is always 5c hotter than outside. Hot water is super unstable , one simple can’t have a good shower there water sometime hot sometimes cold. When I asked for extending my stay, even though it’s not the greatest but I’m lazy to move , so I asked the front desk stuff about rooms. She said there is only one room available with pool and it costs 4000 pesos, online it was shown less than half, plus there were numerous other rooms available for 800 pesos, numerous . I knew that coz I had bookings com information on my phone ; the staff wants to rip me off that makes me feel very very uncomfortable.
