Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Notification that housekeeping would not clean room unless notified upfront by guest. Was not aware of this, not informed. I understand this is a Covid-19 policy, and that's understandable, but guests need to know that. Not a big deal though.

Didn't include breakfast - or any snacks - coffee in lobby, cookies to munch on Pool needed special access only. Bed too soft for me but otherwise great.
NO Breakfast included. Went to Wimpy's. The best BKfast ever and reasonable. Liked - king bed - huge TV - quiet fan - easy to operate thermostat - quiet - comfortable bed - large bath - convenient parking - close to many stores (Costco, White Oaks Mall) - Great little TV lounge in room.

Staff did not answer the phone. Had to walk down to concierge to get a new remote for the tv. Key constantly did not work, went down 3 times to get the key Re-keyed for the room. Had only one set of towels.. had to go down for another set, because no one answered the phones.

Opened the top drawer to put some clothes away and there was candy and wrappers. Noticed an odd smell the second day and opened the bottom drawer which I hadn't needed so hadn't open and there was a bag with Swiss chalet food in it.
Location was convenient and easy to access from the highway. The beds were comfy and loved the pillows. Quiet hotel and a nice clean pool.

Food bar was terrible. Very very limited menu. Stale reheated food. Quit serving food if you can’t do better. The worst fast food establishment is better.

I travelled with my young daughter. She was very excited to swim in the pool. The water was cloudy and there is a dirty ring around the top tiles of the pool that needs to be scrubbed. There were only two towels in our room - we used them at the pool and then had to request more at the front desk. It took a couple of hours for them to arrive because apparently all of the hotels towels were in the dryer when I asked. The room had no hair dryer. The staff was very friendly but it seems like they are under staffed. There was no one available at the cafe to help us in the am so we went elsewhere for breakfast

The pool was open for bookings only, which was disappointing as it was not identified on the site. The more concerning issue was that the sides of the pool itself were very dirty... To a point where people had scratched their names and such into the dirt. So gross!

The bedsofa was not good for guests to sit and talk. Also the lighting in the sitting room was very dark. The menu in the Bistro was limited.

Garbage overflowing at front waste bin led to a skunk loitering at the front entrance and making check-in a harrowing experience. Not a good way to start ones stay.

Due to covid, the restaurant was closed and staff was not receptive over the phone with respect to confirmation of booking and other details.

Sofa bed was super uncomfortable. Bedding did not fit and keep failing off. No blanket for the bed. Had to ask for extra pillows and towels.

I had to be up early to write an exam and I asked for a wake up call and no one called me in the morning. I told the staff and I got a bit off of my room though

No good views out the windows and the pool was closed unfortunately it wasn't heating 😔
Very nice and clean came with my husband and children for new years lots of space even had a mini livingroom definitely be back :)
