Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaldivesThe elevators were used by guests and service staffs together and get's very crowded and moves slow.
The apartment we stayed was clean and properly maintained. Housekeeping staff did their regular jobs in keeping the rooms clean. Breakfast was standard for such a hotel, but the morning rush hour meant not properly cleaned table and floor resulting to an unhygienic restaurant atmosphere. The waiters did their best but the week we stayed was super busy so they just couldn't keep up.

EswatiniThe dining area looks small for the hotel as it is always overcrowded. The lifts also were also crowded on busy areas and some impatient people could easily jump the queue
The views from the higher floors. Staff very friendly and helpful. Came earlier and the staff available a room for early check in. Request to move to the higher floors granted

IrelandWeekends at this hotel can get quite hectic, especially since the lifts are limited and the towers are quite tall. Guests may find themselves waiting 5-10 minutes for an available lift to travel up or down. In addition, the cot bed (for the baby) was awful. I think they missed the baby mattress, because when we went to another hotel, they also provided a cot bed but it had a nice mattress inside. We ended up not even using the cot because the baby would feel the metal bars under it, which makes it impossible to sleep on. Finally, because of the storm in Dubai, our flights were cancelled. This meant extending our hotel reservation by three days. However, we were taken aback when we inquired about the additional charges for these extra nights, as the hotel quoted an exorbitant rate of 500 EUR per day. While we understand that such circumstances are unforeseen, we had hoped for more empathy from the hotel staff, especially considering we were already paying around 300 EUR per night for our rooms. Feeling disappointed with this lack of understanding, we decided to relocate to a nearby hotel that offered comparable accommodations at almost half the price. It was disheartening to experience what felt like a lack of compassion during a challenging situation, although I can understand that this is something the staff cannot control.
Location is great. Doorstep from metro. Market just a couple of steps, loads of restaurants. Staff is amazing. Food from the cafe is good, with a nice options of sandwiches, breakfasts. Room service is amazing, they provide free water bottles, all the kitchen appliances are super clean and new.

Amazing front office and housekeeping staff. Very responsive to all requests. Spacious and comfortable choice for families with a fully equipped kitchen. Our suite had a beautiful Burj Khalifa city view. Housekeeping came everyday and the apartment was very clean. Excellent location. We had a pleasant stay and would love to come back.

CanadaEverything was perfect as we expected but taxi drivers found it little hard to find the place. Sometimes we had to walk to the front road to meet them.
Rooms were spacious and very quiet. Everyone in the family liked it and one of the rooms had very good city view and other room had sea view.

CroatiaThe only thing that was a bit problematic was the AC control. As there is no way to open window of balcony, you need to keep AC on all the time, but we were struggling to find a good setting.
The location is great, very close to the Dubai Mall but also to the Creek on the other side. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean and comfortable. We had the breakfast included as well, and it was good as there were lots of food and drink options to choose from.

LatviaPool and breakfast areas are very crowded but as metioned you will always have the breakfast and can also swim. What we did not like is the loooong wait for the elevators, even if no one is driving them and there are ~5 lifts, you have to wait 3-5 minutes which was a little disturbing, always room for growth :)
Pretty much everything - the location is great, near metro, one station to the Dubai mall/Burj. Breakfast is very good, croweded but they seem to get it all done efficiently. Pool is nice, amazing view from balcony, the room has almost everything you may need

SingaporeThe toilet looks clean but apparently not. Grout was not cleaned properly. We sprayed with water and dirt came off the grout. Looks as if housekeeping only mop the toilet floor without scrubbing it. Could've done better on that. Otherwise housekeeping came to our rooms daily without extra fees.
The apartment was very near to the metro station, about 3 minutes walk. Alot of eateries as well as a mini mart right below the hotel. Hotel room was decent sized and clean. Breakfast buffet has different menu everyday which was great. Frontdesk during check in was welcoming. He noted that it was one of our guest's birthday so he offered a cake however did not receive any till check out date. No big fuss anyway. Concierge has a lot of good tips on activities in Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi.
