I received an upgrade and got the beautiful big room upstairs. The room was spacious. Everything is very modern. Breakfast was great. Everything in town can be easily reached by car.

Located 14 km from Oudtshoorn, De Opstal Country Lodge offers accommodation in a restored farm building, originally built in 1860. As soon as you drive into the De Opstal property you sense this is a different kind of place. The owners don’t just DO hospitality as a means to an end; they ARE hospitality embodied. It feels like it’s their life’s mission. De Opstal’s old charm accommodations are surrounded by magnificent flower gardens, fruit trees, and fields that are not over-manicured, rather reflective of the owners’ true love of nature and deep desire to create an environment for their guests that engages all their senses. The only downside was having to leave this slice of paradise.

The Queen's Hotel is a colonial-era non-smoking hotel in the heart of Oudtshoorn. It offers rooms decorated with antique furnishings and a swimming pool in a secluded courtyard. Free WiFi is... A very nice hotel in an elegant building. We enjoyed much relaxing time at the pool. The staff was super friendly and always available. For breakfast, one could use the little cafe that belongs to the hotel. All perfect!

Showers and baths with lots of hot water. Good cooked breakfast. The decor is original from the time when the hotel was opened in 1950's. There are many art works by local artists. Location. Located 500 metres from Swartberg Pass, Swartberg Pass Cottages is set in Matjiesrivier and features barbecue facilities and a garden. The Cango Caves are within 13 km of the property. Absolutely everything was perfect. A little gem! We ordered a braaipack in advance. It contained so much more than expected. In addition to the meat, there was roosterkoek, jam, salad, pumpkin fritters and more. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and fresh drinkwater was supplied. The Swartberg Mountains around us were breathtaking. We loved our stay. It was booked for a stay-over location close to the Cango Caves but we will be back for a longer stay at some stage to explore the area further.

Oudtshoorn Inn Hotel is located in the heart of Oudtshoorn, 2.5 kilometres from the Cango Wildlife Ranch. It boasts a lush garden and outdoor swimming pool. Very friendly staff. Went out if their way to accommodate us.
