A real 5 star experience. We are not golfers but enjoyed a restful weekend here as part of a 3 week trip in South Africa. You are greeted on the door by very friendly staff and offered a drink. Our suite was exceptional as was the food and the lovely walks around the grounds. Treat yourself and stay at Fancourt to break up your journey on the garden route.

It is a ferry welcoming place to relax in nature and enjoy the great facilities. truly a great place to stay and will certainly return on our way back the garden route.     Attention: you may not want to leave your room! The sea breeze room, where I stayed for two nights, is mind blowing. The view actually looks better in real life, and the balcony is very big. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing, and the staff was also very nice. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and the fruit tray was impressive ! There are a couple of good restaurants at a walking distance (Salinas, which can be reached by walking on the beach, and Joplins Steak Bar - not the nicest walk near the road but there is a pedestrian route and it’s only 6 minutes away. Amazing steak!). I have stayed in many nice hotels, but the experience of overlooking directly the beach from your bed is incredible. The mini bar was full of drinks and snacks, and the honesty system was very appreciated. The room was very clean and the overall experience was safe and beautiful.

    Wow Wow Wow! Our stay at Fancourt exceeding our wildest expectations. Every single staff member that we dealt with were very professional and friendly. Everyone made us feel special and welcome.     Quite clean and peaceful. Residents are friendly. Lots of malls and good shopping experiences. Breathtaking views of mountains and the Wilderness beaches are just too lovely. Cozy quiet coves in Herolds Bay & Victoria Bay. Places to eat Halaal food plentiful.

    Loved the view and i enjoyed climbing the stairs to our room. The room was cozy, bed very comfortable - had all we needed. All shops, restaurants and beach in walking distance, loved our beach strolls. The artist was busy with the most beautiful paintings within the subway leading to the beach. The breakfast at the place was delicious so we enjoyed dinner at The Blue Olive the Friday night and Ilali the Saturday night. We enjoyed the Saturday market, so many stalls.

    place was stunning, however when i booked was noted we had to vacate the place between 8-12am, we had cleaning staff demanding we leave at 9.30 so they can clean as new tenants arrive at 2.. we were intending to leave at 10, they could not wait and insisted to invade our space. very unnecessary as the cabin was kept as we found it. i think the maids must understand we are the paying customer not them. bit of a spoiler. the host michelle was very attentive and gracious. thank you michelle for the response on the call out too😉 to brian and verner can see you have a close family and have had wonderful times have memories... luv that.

    The whole experience was just first class.

    The whole experience was just first class. Whilst travelling tot he venue there was a phone call to assist with booking in and enjoyment of the facilities. The pictures on the web site do not do justice to the actual facilities and rooms etc...... recommend a new set of photos as it was much nicer in reality than expected........ Great communication and helpfulness. Would recommend to any traveller.

    Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.

    We all loved George.

    We all loved George. It is so close to so many attractions and beautiful areas. It is a good base to be at to do day trips. George is so clean, and no potholes. We wished that we had more time to look around. We had a fantastic meal at Cula restaurant.

    A small village on the east coast between George and Knysna.

    A small village on the east coast between George and Knysna. People are friendly and services adequate for basic needs. Plenty of restaurants catering for a variety of cuisines some of them highly recommended. Beautiful beaches close by and stunning drives into the countryside at your doorstep.
