I was made to feel incredibly welcome by all.of them. Suthida, in particular, was a wonderful host. The restaurant is superb.The pool has an amazing view over the river. The rooms are in a beautiful colonial style with great facilities. It was a real find! What many might see as a disadvantage is that it is far from the centre but for me, this was an advantage. I used to take a cab to the nearby passenger ferry stop and take a fascinating ride up the river into the centre of town. It all depends on where you stay. Location to transport and markets and the room facilities in your residence being the deciding factor. I didn’t really walk around the area so I can’t comment. But it is very near to impact arena where the concert was held which was the reason I come to Thailand . Did not get around to explore the area beyond their Mall, but the area seems easy to navigate, isn't downtown Bangkok crazy with traffic and noise, and has very few high rises. Everything you could need in very close proximity. Huge Malls and great bars & restaurants all of which are amazing value for money. You can get a metered taxi to Bangkok City Centre and other great destinations for under 200 Baht which is around £5 at today’s exchange rate. The metro system is also very cheap and you have a station yards away from the hotel. I had a wonderful time in Nonthaburi and cannot wait to come back.
