The resort is on the end of the beach so is quiet, and the beach is clean, but it’s only a few minutes walk to the middle of the beach where the restaurants are. It looks idillic, like paradise. We sat outside for breakfast every morning on the tables near the water, it was beautiful (and the food was good!) The room was clean. The grounds are clean. If you’re looking for a perfect lil family getaway, this is the place for you. We didn’t want to leave! We visited a few other beaches and this one was by far the best! No working ATMs can be a problem if you don't have scan and pay. I don't like carrying that much cash. Other than that, its a perfect quiet get away. Everything i needed was in walking distance. There are many good restaurants and places to sit on the beach at night. But is not a party island. You don't have to worry about loud music late into the night.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Koh Samed has changed quite a bit over the years.
Koh Samed has changed quite a bit over the years. It now feels much more like a tourist hot spot than a quiet island escape… and it’s still developing. You can still find only moderately-populated powder white beaches however, with some of the best local on-beach restaurants anywhere in the country. And it’s only 50B for a shaded deckchair all day. In terms of negatives it can become overpopulated on weekends, and in the high season, and can be very scruffy in places when you go in land.
