The breakfast was wonderful. Truly. I will miss my morning smoothie with a shot of ginger and turmeric. Our evening meal here was also wonderful, and there is a reasonable selection of wines by the glass. The small spa was a lovely surprise, and our room was comfortable, cosy and warm. The people were the real point of difference though; everyone here appears to genuinely care about making your stay wonderful and they all went above and beyond. 100% would recommend

We had an amazing stay at the Clarion Hotel Winn and would definitely give it a perfect 10/10! The highlight of our trip was the pool - it was spotless, well-maintained, and the best part was that we had it entirely to ourselves, making it a truly relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a huge variety of delicious options that catered to all preferences, including gluten-free choices. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Gävle, making it convenient to explore the city. This hotel was one of the best that I’ve stayed at. Apart from the owner Tomas who was extremely hospitable friendly and knowledgeable the property which was an old vicarage had been redeveloped. The room we had was an attic style was well provided with all the amenities. The breakfast was pretty good as well.

Our one-night stay was great, close to the friend we were visiting. Our room was upgraded with no extra cost as well as awarded free parking and the buffet breakfast was amazing! NO complaints from us. Thank you very much Bergshotellet i Järvsö!

It's a nice place to visit for a day.

It's a nice place to visit for a day. You can always try and combine your visit there with a concert or something else. Transportation is okay but with weird timetables, you need to check them on advance. Great place to eat is the Blackstone Steakhouse, eating there made our day!

The harbour and surroundings are very scenic.

The harbour and surroundings are very scenic. The town is quite quiet and there a lots of restaurants & cafes to eat at. The area is undergoing a huge investment with waterside appartments. Many of the old fishing related properties are being repurposed. Good local shopping opportunities. If you are a sailor and like the water there is plenty to occupy you.

The location seems to be in condition, although the weather was wet at the time of the visit. the hotel's main building is beautiful, the breakfast is good. Unfortunately, an error occurred during our visit that popped up handy! We thought we would stay in a hotel, but we got a room in a so-called campsite! The pictures looked better than the reality

We were here Monday - Thursday in late August so many of the...

We were here Monday - Thursday in late August so many of the eateries were closed during the week and only opened Thursday-Friday so we missed a few things that we would have wanted to see. It is a beautiful area, we hiked, picked blueberries and visited local farms to buy produce and cheese for our meals. We took the train from Stockholm to Ljusdal and then rented a car and drove the short distance to Järsvö.

A clean town with easy access to surrounding areas. Easy shopping with a good range of eateries. Pedestrianised main street with easy access to surrounding roads and facilities. There is nothing specific I would avoid on future visits.

Surprisingly Gävle offered us a different angle every time we go there. Just 2 hours away it like having a relaxing holiday! Friendly people, beautiful sights and the nature......WOW the nature is next to nothing else in Sweden=GO THERE!
