The staff were very friendly, especially Natacha! Location is great and we had a wonderful room with sea view (definitely worth the money). Parking was easy, and there's a route from the hotel to the town which you can take on foot. Breakfast was good and fresh.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Every detail is exceptional. The location is absolutely perfect, the warm welcome included an optional glass of port, the room has everything you need including a big fridge and balcony, the friendly staff were so helpful, the breakfast is probably the best we have ever had at a hotel (it includes free breakfast champagne). Everything was amazing. Shout out to Pedro for the warm welcome. We will be back here for sure. 10/10

The breakfast was exceptionally made and the food varied from day to day which made each morning a little surprise! The staff was very forthcoming and friendly - the cook would always chat with us in the morning and even the owners passed by to introduce themselves. Everything was very personal and you could see and feel the love that is being poured into this hotel!

This is the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed in! On one hand, you can feel the rich history of the place, and on the other hand, it's a charming boutique hotel where every detail is beautifully crafted. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the amazing breakfast, and the stunning views. It’s a place I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Angra. Angra stole my heart; it's a place I would love to return to. You can take a leisurely 20-minute walk to the city center or drive to convenient public parking spots.

    Absolutely beautiful place with astonishing view of the ocean. The host - Hugo - is truly friendly and helpful person, taking fantastic care about his property. The swimming pool is perfectly clean, the grass around is literally English style, the sauna and fireplace ready to be used at any time. Every morning he is cleaning all the facilities to ensure you can have comfortable rest. The distance to the airport is good (25 min drive) and similar to the main towns and attractions. I can truly recommend this place for a vacation stay.

    Pretty much everything. This place was awesome The houses were super comfortable and airy. They had air conditioning which was useful and rare on the Azores. The view was great. The night birds calling were crazy. Breakfast was lovely and extensive. The pool was lovely and clean. It was just a few minutes from great swimming/snorkeling at Cincos Ribeiras. It was about 15 minutes from Angra.

    Very big room with a spacious bathroom and living room zone. The location is very central and close to all restaurants and bars. Very good breakfast in the morning, with a big selection of cakes that change every morning. The hotel has a big parking lot right next to it where guests can park the car. We had a great time at the hotel, which was all we needed. Would recommend it.

    We had a fantastic stay at Alluar lodge. Our room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. The view was very beautiful. The breakfast hamper was also a highlight each morning. There is a lovely communal area to relax in , as well as a swimming pool area and garden overlooking the sea. The hosts were wonderful and made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend.

    I had a great stay here! The hotel offers excellent value for money and is located very close to the city center. You can even see the ocean at the end of the street, which was a lovely surprise.     Hilly nice little town with historical center and marina. Not easy to drive through and park, but excellent for walking. Not many souvenir shops, and lots of cheap Chinese fake products but comparing to other towns in Azores this one is quite big. Bars, restaurants and bistros are there but these are not the best, they are sufficient though. The natural reserve on peninsula with citadel and military base is extraordinary. Great view and experience, nice for picnic or hiking!

    A very comfortable and pleasant town for living and staying, with very nice people, and an overall good atmosphere. There is enough to see and to enjoy, from food, ice-creams, and cafes. It also has a lovely small market where you can eat as well, and opposite a garden with a nice sitting area. It has all possible shops, a large grocery, it's surrounded by hills, and much green. There are many very nice old houses, nicely renovated We are not young, so I can't say. There is a very nice and spacious beach with fine black sand The town is a little bit on a hill, but by walking down, you can enjoy a very nice view of the sea. This is also the heart of the town. Another good trip is a walk the monup the hill to ument. It can be walked from both sides, both offering very nice views all around. Moving around without a car is quite difficult

    There is not a lot going on in this town.

    There is not a lot going on in this town. Most visitors spend only an hour or two at the shore. For the extra day Trilha Rocha do Chambra is an inland hike closer to Biscoitos than Angra. The shore walk to Quatro Ribeiras gives some good shore views. In late May it was cloudy every day; but no rain. There is one very food restaurant in town: Botequim o Baghulho.

    Go stay somewhere nicer on Terceira. I only stayed in the very windy village of Lajas for one night to be closer to the airport for my very early flight. There are some restaurants here but don't expect much. Praia do Vitoria is nearby if you like to hear airplanes overhead.

    Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas. There are plenty of fantastic viewpoints. Its much less taken over by tourism than other bigger islands so you really feel authentic. Food and drink is very cheap and even excursions/trips are fairly affordable. Car hire etc has less choice than a bigger island. We hired a 125cc scooter which was a great way to explore the island. Many of the shops/bars speak English, but plenty of the locals do not. If you can learn a little Portuguese before you go it will definitely help.

    This is a historic town with interesting architecture, cute stores, good restaurants and a beautiful park area where (out on the point) where you can walk. We thought it had a lot more interest than towns on San Miquel island.

    Praia da Vitoria is an interesting, clean, attractive town to walk around at any time of day. The people are friendly and helpful. The food outlets are varied, from quiet quality restaurants to burger bars and excellant coffee/cake shops. The transport links are good and the bus ride into Angra is not to be missed. Prices of food are a lovely surprise, for two people from €6 for latte and cake, €9 for coffee and sandwich, €20 for a main, beer and coffee to €50 for a three course with excellent wine. Beaches are clean and seem very safe.

    I really liked Biscoitos because of the natural pools and...

    I really liked Biscoitos because of the natural pools and the cafe where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. It also has bakeries and restaurants and a wine museum. The location is great for visiting the whole island. I would definitely choose to stay in Biscoitos again.

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc...

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc sight seeing then spend a whole day in and around Angra town. Recommend walk round Monte Brasil close by its very interesting we took half a day walking it. Forget hiring a scooter to see the island we hired a car and spend a full long day driving clockwise round island exploring viewpoints, cave, cheese farm, wine museum, highest volcano mountain etc. Unique island cultural discoveries we made were were seeing cheerfully painted little holy trinity espirito house in every village and watch out for 'Tourada a corda' (bullfight by rope) runs test of manhood - this is big on Terceira. Charming unspoilt little island well worth visiting.

    Small town on a great beach front.

    Small town on a great beach front. Safe waters for swimming and dedicated areas for watersports, surfung can be undertaken further down tiwards the port. Good eating places and bars. Walk to the top of the Mirradour for fanastic views (its 283 steps)
