- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 215 reviewsGreat location , very good breakfast , restaurant with dinner. Very basic accommodation. The room was over the kitchen and a re the restaurant and was little noisy. It got quiet after 10pm. The walls rather thin, you can hear snoring and talking neighbors. A walking distance 1000 feet to a good grocery store , very ample parking.Guest review byDanutaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 279 reviewsThe cabins are cozy and charming. They were thoughtful and gave us a cabin away from other families so our dog wouldn't be bothered by strange noises. The shower has very hot water, perfect after a rainy hike in the woods. The prices in the pub are much better than in the center.Guest review byA.L.S.K.Poland

Wonderful natural area, fascinating walks all around.
Wonderful natural area, fascinating walks all around. We met wild bisons on one walk! The town itself has most of the things a traveller requires and is a delight with its varied Polish styles of building and much charm and plenty to look at. We came by train to Hajnowka and then bus to Bialo; you have to time this carefully as the buses are infrequent. Bikes can be hired in town which was great for us.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Hajnówka is a peaceful town right next to the Białowieża...
Hajnówka is a peaceful town right next to the Białowieża Forest, one of Europe’s last primeval woodlands. It’s a great spot for nature lovers, with easy access to forest trails and chances to spot bison. The town also has a unique mix of cultures, best seen in its striking Orthodox church and local Belarusian influences. Perfect for a quiet getaway close to nature and for testing Podlasie cuisine. Local specialties include babka ziemniaczana, placki ziemniaczane or pierogi and for desser, marcinek is a must!Guest review byAgnieszkaNetherlands - 10.0

Wonderful, very quietly situated accommodation directly on the edge of the forest, where you can experience the charm of the area in every detail. The owner was very hospitable and offered best service at check-in and in the morning at the freshly prepared breakfast buffet with typical local dishes. For us the accommodation was the starting point for activities at the Białowieża national park. To Białowieża it is about 30 minutes by car via Hajnówka.Guest review byHartmutGermany - 10.0
Great place for wildlife watching, or even if you just want...
Great place for wildlife watching, or even if you just want to get away from the city and relax in a quiet little village. Car's needed because this is a rather remote area, and if you want to visit nearby trails and towns you're not going to do it with public transport. Any trail you can find here is worth visiting, and even just strolling around the Palace Park and the main road you can have a good birdwatching experience. Most of the restaurants on the main road are good, but Biesiada is really great, with delicious homemade local food (babka ziemniaczana recommended).Guest review bytoni a.Italy - 10.0

The Palace Park is a very cozy place and the guided tours to the Strict Reserve are a must, as this part of the forest is uniquely untouched by human activity. I also highly recommend to take a 'bison safari' at dawn, as seeing these magnificent creatures living in the wild is a great experience! The "Places of National Remembrance" Trail around Białowieża is also a worthwhile trip. However, if you plan to use public transport - connections to Hajnówka from elsewhere in Poland are in good quality, but from Hajnówka to the eastern villages are rare and not very useful to plan hiking trips, so you should plan for a substitute option in advance.Guest review byMarcellHungary
