- From US$116.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,039 reviewsLocation was so close to our training centre, easy to walk too and from. Lots of close restaurants, takeaway shops. Close to Cuba street, quiet. Really clean, lovely towels and a great hairdryer. Coffee and tea facilities. Bed wasnt the best on oneside, probably the side everyone sleeps on, so needs to be turned or replaced it. TV remote was not working, reported it but it didnt get fixed or changed, not sure if that was because my do not clean sign was up. Food is great, lots of options.Guest review byFrancesNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 5 reviewsWe felt absolutely spoiled. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand

Used to live in Wgtn. many moons ago.
Used to live in Wgtn. many moons ago. Much has changed traffic-wise. One way system and avoiding the designated bus lanes. Biggest frustration was main intersections without street names. Side streets named but the main artery not regularly named. Google maps ok, but to get to the ferry terminal in the dark, in torrential rain quite challenging. Fortunately I had some idea of where to go but was rusty. Check the map before you leave your accommodation. Car parking scarce, take the local buses to major attractions - Te Papa Museum, Zealandia etc. Take an umbrella for Zealandia, if rain predicted.Guest review byBarbCanada - 10.0
Highlights
Highlights - Riverside and parks — The Hutt River and surrounding green spaces are excellent for easy walks, cycling, and watching the sunset. - Cafés and eateries — A growing café scene with several cosy spots for coffee, brunch, and casual meals. - Convenient transport — Well connected by commuter rail and buses; getting into Wellington CBD is straightforward. - Shopping and services — Queensgate and nearby retail strips make errands simple; plenty of everyday conveniences are close by. - Friendly locals — Generally warm, helpful people who make the place feel welcoming.Guest review byAshaAustralia - 10.0

It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation. There are numerous short walks and dining options. Henley Lake and the Millennium Reserve are particular favourites and for a longer trip Castlepoint is hard to beat.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 8.0

I loved the friendly, relaxed vibe and the great places to eat and drink. The scenery is wonderful and the place is easy to walk, cycle or drive around. Ialso enjoyed the boutique type shops and places where you could buy something just a little bit different.Guest review byMaryNew Zealand - 6.0
Everything within walking distance.
Everything within walking distance. However there's NO pedestrian crossings from the motel side of the road! I'm a bit slow with bad hips and I was taking my life into my hands to get across to the mall lol. Great little cafe called "Local Authority" under the council building next to the gym! Fantastic coffee and lovely staff!Guest review byChrisNew Zealand - 6.0

Upper Hutt was a bit lack lustre, in terms of dining out, shopping and must do attractions. There needs a big push to promote activities from the locals to encourage out of towners to want to visit Upper Hutt.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited Greytown to see the Longbush cottage tulip display which didn’t disappoint, the gift shops in the character buildings of the Main Street are always worth a look and there are many nice cafes to choose from, we ate at The Offering and Kokodeli and would definitely go back.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 10.0

There is no Uber, only their local Taxi, which makes getting around without a car quite difficult They do have a lot of Beaches and Reserves close by, and when I stayed at the White House up the hill, I had an epic view with the best Sunset.Guest review byClliffdog01New Zealand
