The kitchen has everything you need, the laundry facilities are great and the accommodation is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Wish we could stay longer! Wanaka is a great little town.
Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.Guest review byStevoAustralia - 10

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka. The water is clear and beautiful, the view up the lake is magnificent and there is a great pub and store. There are good bike riding and walking tracks. Who could want for more?Guest review byAnnaNew Zealand - 10

Beautiful area to walk or bike in. There are wildlife on the lake. You can sit/sun bathe on the beach albeit a stony beach. Or you can just stroll along the shore area. When the sun is shining it is glorious whatever you chose to do.Guest review byAnonymous
