The car broke down and the sim card does not work great travel to be away from the real world 😂 however we would say that Hotel Van Saaze makes everything smooth. We thought we wont have the key to enter as it was super late and we notify the hotel with late notice. However they prepared the key in the box and just called them on an emergency number, they are on it right away to assist you! Late check in is okay. With such a tiring long day we rested super well in this hotel. My husband says they have the best comfy bed ever! yes! we booked a comfy room and it was really comfy!! with the best bed quality! The room was super clean and you got everything you needed with an amazing atmosphere and was very peaceful. Thumbs up Hotel Van Saanze. Linen provided, just bring your towels and the usual from home stuff for chalet / static caravan holidays. Plenty to keep children busy and the location was great. The views lovely, lots of cycling paths and very close to Zeewolde town centre (5 mins by car). Unfortunately we didn't try public transport. Too built up and hard to find parking. However, the people were very friendly and helpful. Good area of restaurants in the centre of town. Not easy to navigate the ring road, and if you wanted to walk around everything is just too far away. Good lake. It was very pretty but the weather for our stay was awful. The location is very good for walking, cycling and sailing. Also a good base for travel. It is a new city.
It is a new city. I can not say it is pretty, I don't like this ultra modern architecture. The nature is beautiful, lakes and a lot of green areas. Many shops are opened also Sunday afternoon, this makes city alive. Too less (or none) local shops or special things, unique for Almere. Same chains, same food and other type of products. 15-20 min. Waiting to check in because the restaurant line is priority. They only change the towels not make the bed nor replace shampoo and soap. The room is tiny for 2 people.
