It was the best stay we had in Sri Lanka! The hotel looks even better in real than at the pictures. The staff is incredible, freidnly and helpful, soo lovely people🙏 Waking up with the view from the window and having delicious breakfast in the open restaurant is sooo magical. Moreover the hotel is located pretty close to the centrum (especially by tuk tuk). Highly highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cape House, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and our stay was nothing short of perfect. A special mention must go to the manager, Eranda. He is one of the kindest and most inventive managers I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests made our stay incredibly enjoyable. He was especially wonderful with my son, making him feel welcome and special throughout our visit. I highly recommend the Cape House to anyone looking for a remarkable place to stay. The combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and Eranda’s exceptional management truly sets this place apart. Food is great. Breakfast comprises a wide variety of fruits, eggs, juices, jam and coconut sambal. Several Sri Lankan dinner options. Sound value for money. Hotel is very new. Almost all amenities needed. Amazing view from the room. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed during our honeymoon. They decorated the bed with flowers and even provided a little present (local tea).

    A gorgeous place managed by a tremendous team of excellent people. The A4 which leads to Living Heritage Koslanda is the perfect introduction to the property - jungle and waterfalls... Arriving at the gates we were welcomed by Johnson, the ever present manager, and guided to a gorgeous reception pavillion with fabulous views of the surrounding hills and dense forests. Our suite was overwhelming. Rather than a grand room, we were presented with a courtyard house built in the traditional Sri Lankan style including not only an outdoor shower, but an amazing jaccuzi, where water runs from an ancient granite water spout. This place must be experienced as words alone could never do it justice. Living Heritage Koslanda is one big experience! Another surprise was the beautiful garden in particular the infinity pool . The materials used everywhere throughout Liv. Heritage Koslanda are hand cut stone, local wood (massive beams), old terracotta roof tiles and finely polished cement floors. Most times we felt like being in an ancient temple complex in the jungle. We cannot rave enough about the place and its staff. We feel priveleged to have had the opportunity to stay in this jewel of a place. Johnson gave us a most interesting tour through their herb, veggie and fruit garden down to a small temple behind which is a small cow shed with what must be Sri Lanka's happiest 4 cows. Their only purpose is to give manure, which is used to feed the garden soil. Composted food scraps are recycled into liquid fertilizer, grey water is collected for watering during dry spells. What stands out above all is the engaging and caring service by every member of the staff as exemplified by Johnson's leadership. Don't miss out on the many offerings by the chef. As Kumar, the chief butler, so aptly said "just eat slowly, then you can eat more". He is absolutely right. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.

    Absolutely everything was just perfect for our 3 nights, rooms clean and very well appointed, food excellent we even had an out door Bbq one night and the staff were 1st class especially Sanjeeva and his colleagues Priyantha, Krisham, Sujeewa and Thaksila nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome and looked after our every need The view and gardens with the hot tub were just a glorious space to unwind and relax There are only 12 rooms so it has that home from home feel and the view and location for exploring Ella could not have been better

    Loved everything! Room was incredible, views like nothing else, delighted to have a bed that could roll onto the balcony and a hammock for relaxation. Spa was beautiful with serene views and reasonably priced (it was cheaper than the place we went to in town!). Restaurant staff were lovely. If the sights of Ella weren't so fantastic, we would have happily spent every second in this room.

    It's a resort in the jungle, it takes few minutes with the jeep in order to arrive there. It's just perfect, perfect receiving, perfect and silent room right on the river, a lot of nature and animals to see, an adventurous trail in the jungle to the waterfalls, friendly a professional personnel and manager, food amazing.     The view of this hotel is to die for. It’s absolutely stunning. The highlights of this hotel are the friendly staff in the restaurant, the pool area and the rooms. It’s a bit difficult to get to as it’s mostly uphill, but it’s worth it. The hotel has also been renamed which is a little confusing as it’s not clear.

    Almost everything.

    Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

    People are really friendly and welcome tourists. City is very small, but attractive. The 9 arches bridge is a place everyone would like to visit. Food available in the restaurants are really testy in a reasonable price. The train ride to ella was a memorable one.

    Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

    It is very safe and tourist-friendly, nice climate. not hot, not tool, cold. Nice view of the mountains. Lot of foreigners. Food and services are mostly for foreigners which is not too hot, a good mix of local and international food, but very reasonably priced.

    Most of the activities are outside of main Haputale the hiking is wonderful as was our visit to Lipton's seat and the tour of the tea factory. Main Haputale not really much going on but the hotel was perfect after a long day of hiking.
