Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

The owner of the hotel is a very nice and very helpful. I can see the beatiful view of the mountain from the window of the hotel. The private onsen is very impressive. I got lost because my GPS doesn't work and I got there late at night. Fortunately, I brought the phone number and the name of the hotel in Japanese. The owner is so nice to come to pick me up and take me to the hotel safely.

Superb service from the staff, especially Ms Yen and Ms Chabani Gopali and the chefs who made us two delicious dinners/breakfast the two nights we were there. Good onsen baths and good fun in the "walking" onsen and outdoor warm pools. Cabin was spacious and very comfortable. A big thank you for a very relaxing stay.

The room was spacious and clean. We were lucky enough to be on the 17th floor and had a great view of the bay, mountains, and the city below. Staff were helpful and kind.

When I returned to the hotel, I could not enter the room and understood the situation, but the hotel staff smiled and held the room for me and gave me the left luggage. This is the second time I stay at this hotel. Of course I like it because the price is easy so I can stay longer to enjoy a holiday in the Oita area. Not only that, but basic needs facilities have also been met as well as easy access to various modes of transportation such as stations, bus stops and restaurants. The staff service is also very friendly, adding to the positive impression of this hotel. and maybe I will still choose this hotel when I visit Oita again, or the hotel branches spread across other areas of Japan to enjoy my next holiday.

First the hard facts: the hotel is an oasis of quietness and affordable luxury in the middle of Kyushu’s mountains. The are several apartments with private onsen and some with view over the mountain side. A very tasty and rich breakfast (Japanese or western) is available in the main building. Great Restaurants and a cafe with delicious cake and views are nearby. But the most lovely point was this: In Japan you usually meet many respectful, friendly people. However, the staff in Spa Greenness was extraordinary. Already the information exchange when planning details weeks before our arrival was both cordial and professional. On location everybody was helpful and friendly, be it for a special breakfast or very helpful to book a ferry for the next travel section. It’s really the place to go if you want to find some peace and quietness away from busy cities.

Unfortunately their dinner service was out of our budget, so we got food from outside before arrival (there are literally no restaurants within walkable distance, so please get something before you arrive, from Beppu Station for example). You can take the bus here from Beppu Station and it's a small uphill walk. Breakfast was amazing, however! I really enjoyed the seasonal veggies and the local ingredients. The onsen in the room was wonderful and there's plenty of amenities to use (make up remover, lotions, facial cottons, hair tie, too!) There's chopsticks, plates and forks and wine glasses in the room btw.
