An amazing stay in Kyoto! Feels like you're in a traditional tea house, from the atmosphere to the complementary matcha served in the room! The staff is lovely and always made sure we felt comfortable, helped us make reservations to recommended restaurants, and made us matcha whenever we wanted! We loved the experience of traditional Japanese living, and the location was unbeatable! A quiet neighborhood that was super close to all kinds of restaurants and convenience, and a short walk to the main sights of Kyoto! Absolutely recommended!!!

We picked the hotel due to its localization, because it is close to famous bamboo forest and to make crowdless photos you need to get up very early, so we decided to choose hotel close to the forest. It was supposed to be only a bedroom for us, but it came out as a really comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly personel. Also the bathroom was big, clean and to be honest, the best we found in our trip to Japan. I can recomment it to everyone staying in Kyoto

Craig and Helen were lovely hosts and keen to help get us settled into Kyoto. They were full of advise and tips on where to visit and eat around town and this was very helpful particularly looking for restaurant that served vegan food. The breakfast they prepared each day was amazing and varied each day. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable each with an ensuite which was not something we'd experience before in a traditional Japanese room.

Tomy and tetu are the perfect hosts! We appreciated the time the took to point out some Kyoto landmarks and history from their rooftop and that they took the time to prepare and teach us traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Their home had many amenities and the location being so close to the station was convenient to get around Kyoto. They made our stay a memorable one and we hope to book again should Kyoto be in the cards for us in the future.

We have a wonderful time at Candeo Hotel. The hotel is very detailed in its design & layout of each area. We love it has a library & lounge where you can sit, relax & enjoy some quiet time. Location of the hotel is very close to Nishiki market where there are plenty of options for dining. I love everything about this hotel from staff to facilities to location. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Kyoto.

This is a Japanese style house so it was fun to experience living in one. It has AC/heater in the 3 rooms, washing machine with detergent, full kitchen. The property is 9 min walk to the Kyoto bus terminal and 202,205,207 start and end here. These 3 buses will take you to Ginkaku-ji, Kinkaku-ji , Kiyomizu-Dera and Gion. Trains are not very convenient for sight seeing so the location turned out to be better than expected.

Hotels location was a spot on to explore Kyoto. Easy access to public transportations. Hotels staff were really polite and helpfull. Good oppirtunities to wash and dry your clothes. If you don't mind to go to restaurants you can enjoy your own food at hotels lobby. There is a 7 eleven at the ground level of the hotel and Fresco across the street which both provide good breakfast and meal selection.

The guest house is located on the outskirts of Kyoto, in the suburbs. It's a 2 hour walk to downtown, alternatively you can easily catch a bus, as the bus station is near by. Very basic homestay, got all the essentials. I was greeted by a kind man who ran the homestay, who made check-in very easy. For the price I paid each night, especially in Japan, it's brilliant value for money.

This hotel has a great location, just steps away from the subway, convenience stores, and within walking distance of Kyoto Station. The Japanese-style room was lovely, complete with a clean bathroom. Communication was a breeze, with prompt responses to inquiries. Despite the absence of staff during check-in and out, the process was smooth thanks to clear and easy-to-follow instructions.

Everything was perfect! Loved the private onsen bath, and also the complimentary noodle on the evening. Hotel is about a minute walking distance from the train station, and also easy to get around other famous tourists attractions with a bus nearby. Room was cozy and beds were very comfortable! Would like to come back to stay once again should I revisit Kyoto in the future.

Sakura Terrace is a 10-minute walk from Kyoto's main train station, and there is a subway stop, and a bus stop, right outside the door. It was easy to explore Kyoto. Breakfast was superb. There were Japanese and Western offerings. Abundant, diverse foods. The bed was comfortable. We loved the public Japanese bath - we luxuriated in it every evening before dinner.

The breakfast was one of the better ones we experienced on our Japan trip, and the tea/coffee facilities were available to guests throughout the late afternoon/evening also, which was appreciated. Luggage was able to be stored before our check-in, allowing us to explore Kyoto without it. The beds were the comfiest that we slept on in Japan.

We loved the Japanese style house and the bathroom was fabulous with a cute little garden to look out on. Close walk to Kyoto stn across the river. Family mart was at the end of the street for supplies and McDonalds too.Close to the bus stop as well. We liked this location. Staff were super helpful to solve any issues. Non contact checkin was easy.

The room is spacious and big (compared to must Japan Hotels) therefore comfortable for families. Although there are laundry machines available at the base floor, our room had its own laundry machine which turned out very helpful. Beautiful cherry tree outside the hotel. Nara metro line within 6min walk and Kyoto Station within 15min walk.

Hotel's location is right above Kyoto station which was great for our tired bodies after a long flight. checking in was a breeze. It's also conveniently located near local train stations and all the amazing food joints around. I will also recommend the hotel breakfast which serves a wide selection of Japanese and western food

Extremely comfortable! Rooms were quite spacious to other Japanese Hotels. Staff are very helpful and attentive. The best part of the hotel is that it has its own coin laundry in the basement. Shared kitchen facilities are also located in the basement. Location was superb with the Kyoto Station located a short walk away.

Thank you so much for the nice stay. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. All the space was clean and furnished really well. Hotel is near train station and bus stop. We can honestly recommend Minn Gion and I’m sure we will reserve room the next time in Kyoto.

There were lots of efforts put into all the details but my family were mostly impressed with the breakfast. All the ingredients were from local vendors and most seasonal produce were used. Will definitely recommend Rhinga Gran Hotel to our friends and family for their trip to Kyoto.

Lovely staff, great breakfast options. Free water dispenser and all free amenities available. Room was perfect for one person - not huge space but it was as expected in Japan I believe. Walking distance to Kyoto station. Hotel has bikes available for rent, a great way to see Kyoto.

Location to JR Kyoto station and subway station. Nearby area is very vibrant and has lots of food options. Room is relatively large (by Japanese standard) and WiFi is good. Western breakfast option is also very hearty. Overall speaking, this is quite a nice place to stay.
