The hotel is in walking distance to the Kairakuen garden one of the 3 great gardens of Japan. It’s a must see in our opinion and the traditional house in the garden is beautiful. The room was small but comfortable, as always the beds are firm. The breakfast was excellent, they will make you eggs, 3 different ways so they are nice and warm. The other selections are mostly Japanese but the croissants were great warmed up in the toaster oven. We asked for a room with a view and it was fine. There is a 7/11 downstairs. It’s also convenient to visit the Hitachi Seaside Park. We we were lucky enough to see it in full bloom. Amazing!Guest review byBernieAustralia

Take note of the carpark if driving. The carpark is a multi storey block behind the hotel. Only available from level 3 onwards. We parked at level 4 and fprtunately there was a lift that brought us to level 3, which is the street level leading to hotel.
