Best experience when traveling with dogs. There were dog bowls with water and food ready for us on arrival. There is a bit of green around the hotel so it's OK to walk the dogs. Everything else was also superb. Including breakfast, bed, the room etc.

Overall a lovely boutique hotel with the highest standard without being snobbery. Beautifully furnished with a calm and soothing atmosphere at the same time with a pulse we love. The pool is small yet perfect. They are just going to open up a gym which is great for running of all the delicious food and drink Palermo and Sicily offers. Fantastic service and people - the owners to runs it are so open to the guest. Every detail counts yet humble that they have just opened up their dream hotel which will just be better and better for the coming years. The breakfast was fantastic. Not over-done yet generous, personal, fresh and delicious. Extra bonus for offering ordering of all different kind of egg-dishes which we loved. Served in the lovely courtyard by the pool. We had both lunch and dinner at the hotel and the food was A M A Z I N G. We will for sure come back and bring our closest friends. As this place is a must stay and I hope that they continue to evolve in the same way. Offering a "pricy affordable" dream-stay in Palermo.

Our stay at the hotel was great, it was made more enjoyable by the staff. The owners Lucia and Giovanni were always around giving the hotel a family feel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel is delicious all home made with ingredients grown on the hotel grounds. The only thing I’d like to point out is that the beach which is 700m away from the hotel does not have a beach where you could swim. Definitely a hotel to visit.

FAQs about hotels in Sicily

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain. To the north-west are the Aeolian Islands (also known as the Lipari Islands), volcanic islands with plunging cliffs and secret coves.

Back on the main island, the capital Palermo is a seductive mix of amazing architecture and laidback life. Trapani to the west is known for its salt flats, whereas Messina to the east is where trains drive straight onto the ferry to Reggio Calabria on the Italian mainland.

    Great city and very walkable.

Great city and very walkable. You can walk to all major sights in no more than 20 minutes. The food is tremendous and unlike anywhere else in Italy. Palermo has been one of our favorite stops during our month in Italy. It may be a little dirty for some but I think it gives in character and does not effect how much fun you will have. You can bus to a beautiful beach in just 30 minutes also.

It is a must in Sicily.

It is a must in Sicily. You should also visit the other mountain-top town of Castelmola, possible by bus if you don't have a car. We visited the gorge and Etna. The cost of going high on Etna is exorbitant, 69 euros by bus or cable car, so we just went on long walks.

We absolutely loved Cefalu, we could have stayed longer. Our host Deborah was there to greet us, made us feel very comfortable and showed us how everything worked, the apartment was fantastic, very clean, we loved being opposite the beach. On the morning of our checkout it was predicted to rain so Deborah took us to the railway station. We would highly recommend a stay here. Right in the middle of town, a must to see the beautiful Cathedral as well.

Great base for day trips (to Erice/Egadi Islands/even Marsala), but the city itself is worth visiting! A very walkable location, especially from where we stayed [SAT Appartamenti Locazioni turistiche brevi-G&P]. We were told to try Busiate so we did in so many different styles haha. We ate these seasoned fried chick pea patties that looked like fried halloumi or tofu that had we not spoken to our hosts we would not have known what we were eating! I left this too late and can't recall everything... Spectacular views as per for Sicily. We happened to be there for the opening of "Radio Mare" this cute cafe that becomes a hi-fi listening bar in the eveniing... super vibey, defo check it out. Every shop and restaurant we stumbled in was worth visiting. It was a lively city that was a good blend of tourist and locals!

Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

Alot of people do not speak english, and everything there including street sign are in ilalian. Had an excustion to the godfather on a hop on hop off bus(green) I had ordered from Get Your Guide and went 2 hours early and the direction they gave us was wrong and couldnt find the place for pick up in mountain. Had no wifi on my phone, even when i paid extra to get itWIFI on my phone. Tried to ask people but on one knew where to go. Traffic was terrible where the address was to pick up. So i ended up not making the excurion, and company is not giving me a refund. Also the rest RISTORANTE SABBIE D' ORO charged us $162.00(euro) for a 1 lobster. They stood over us until we order, couldnt speak english and the menu said 18 euros for a one lobster, thought that was a good price. Pressed us with extra stuff we did not want to order, because we could not understand them. Then we go to pay there system was down and couldnt take no visa or MC. Our bill was $350 eros. We had to go to atm machine and they charged us $75 to take money out of machine. BAD EXPERINCE!!!!!! I would suggest not to go there.
