First thing: beware of street vendors, they are very annoying with their tricks 😊 In the season, Rosolina mare can offer a lot of fun (amusement park, street bars, casino and more). I recommend visiting markets (you can feel that market culture there). I would recommend a trip to the lookout tower and to the Botanic Garden (wild sea and more). There's not much to do there. It is closer to Chiogga so if you didn't want a long commute from Venice to Chiogga, then it would be a good idea to spend a night in Pellestrina. Also, a nice way to get away from the business of venice.Guest review byDeborah - 10.0

There is very good bus service starting from Venice aeroport directly to Sottomarina. And good bus service around in the area Padova. Piove di Saco etc.. Very nice clean beaches, not too expensive. I only come there because of the wonderful nature and the beach. Dining is terrible, and the town is like out of the 70ies. But that doesn't matter, it's rather like the cherry on top. The only thing I don't like there is, as mentioned above, dining. In 8 years I haven't found any good restaurant - and tested them from € to €€€€. They are all the same. They may vary in the freshness of the used ingredients - but they all don't know how to uses spices for good taste. Try to see the free public nature beach, where all Italians enjoy the sea.
