- From US$193.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,357 reviewsVery easy to find (It has a brightly lit sign a top the building that was visible from quite some distance away), this hotel was excellent for our stopover too Iceland. We arrived early but for a small fee the staff were able to put our room together which was greatly appreciated as the wife and I were exhausted. The room had a massive expanse of windows which was great as we were on the top floor so could see for some distance. The Breakfast was a buffet style with a reasonable choice of continental options. As we were checking out early they provided us with breakfast bags to go which I thought was a nice touch. The room was clean and well presented, the shower had a choice of regular or raindrop style shower heads and the bed was very comfy. Though not immediately obvious there was a sports bar at the back of the hotel which was most welcome for some evening bar food.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom
- From US$207.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,201 reviewsNearby Reykjavik, but real close to the beginning of the golden ring. Not so much light, so I think Auroras could be easily seen (though I didn´t have the chance) Good breakfast included. Supermarket and food options nearby, Comfy bedsGuest review byMaria CelinaArgentina
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 11 reviewsThe apartment is very nice. What I liked is that it has everything you need. It is very good for a family of 4. Additionally, if you have a car, it is excellent. The area is nice and very close to the sea.Guest review byCodrutaRomania

Hafnarfjorthur was between Keflavic and Reykjavik making it quite handy and more affordable to stay at. We rented a car to tour the Golden Circle, enjoy the Blue Lagoon, and sightsee in Reykjavik and felt that was a good choice. We didn't sightsee in Hafnarfjorthur.Guest review byLynetteUnited States - 10

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.Guest review bysandraUnited States - 8.0

Great location if you are looking for accommodation as part of planning to do the Golden Circle. Circa 40-45 minute drive to Thinvellir. Grocery store nearby (sells good quality sushi) however only a few eating out options.Guest review byKarmaUnited Kingdom - 10

This is a place of unique, rugged beauty. The resort has wonderful accommodations to fit the needs of 2 people or a large group. The spa and bistro are just right for a group that wishes to enjoy the hot springs and enjoy a light meal together.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.Guest review byDaniel K.Slovakia - 10

We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it! Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!Guest review byronnieUnited States - 10

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10

Fantastic location, located closely to so many fantastic restaurants, grocery stores and everything you need to enjoy your stay.... very easy to drive into Reykjavik or head out onto the Ring Road elsewhere.Guest review byShawnaItaly - 10
Lovely little fishing village.
Lovely little fishing village. There is a couple supermarkets and some restaurants. There is a main bus stop 2 mins from the Viking Hotel which was so handy and the stop for the Flybus coach to the airport (approx £23 pp one way) was opposite the hotel which was super handy and you get a beautiful view of the harbour whilst you wait. We got off 2 stops early from Reykjavík one day and walked back to explore and there were some lovely sights on the way. It’s a really nice place that’s neat and tidy. Probably wouldn’t need more than half a day wandering round but it’s nice to see the town.Guest review byLWilcoxUnited Kingdom
