Our stay at Kastara Resort was absolutely fantastic—truly a memorable experience from start to finish. Although we didn’t have the chance to try the spa (we were always out exploring!), we are confident it would have been amazing based on the quality of everything else. The service was exceptional—every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Their hospitality made us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the suites with an outdoor hot tub, and it was absolutely incredible. Soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the stunning views of the jungle was like a dream come true. The infinity pool was equally breathtaking—a perfect spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. The cleanliness of the resort was unmatched; everything was spotless, and we’ve honestly never experienced such meticulous attention to detail in a property. The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal we had at the resort was excellent, and we loved that we didn’t need to go anywhere else to enjoy high-quality dining. The live music in the evenings added such a lovely atmosphere to our dining experiences. It’s rare to find a place where everything exceeds expectations, but Kastara Resort truly deserves its 5-star rating and more. In terms of location, it couldn’t have been better. The resort is a peaceful haven away from the chaotic center of Ubud, yet still close enough to explore. It’s about a 35-minute walk to the center, which was perfect for us as we could avoid the traffic while enjoying the serenity of the surrounding jungle. It also served as the perfect base for exploring Ubud and its beautiful surroundings. Without a doubt, Kastara Resort is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Hotel staff treated us like their family member. My son was sick during his stay and the hotel staff drove us to the nearest hospital and stayed with us for two hours while we are being medically examined. Last day we were almost scammed by a local driver with unfair taxi rate and they quickly arranged their driver to pick us up from the waterfall and drive us to canggu. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again next time we visit ubud. It will be our second home in ubud.

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel blends perfectly into its natural surroundings. The staff are overall very pleasant and attentive. Dinner was correct, but the price felt very high compared to what was offered. During our stay at another hotel in Ubud, the food quality was exceptional at a much more reasonable price. Breakfast, while decent, could also be improved when compared to other 5-star hotels we have visited. A special thanks to Mr. Parnata and Juni for their kindness and genuine care – their attentiveness truly made a difference. We have already fallen in love with this artistic gem in the middle of nature, and we’ll definitely come back very soon ❤️

Wow! Kayon is absolutely incredible, the amazing photos represent exactly what you get! Three tiers of amazing pools, jacuzzis and views of the jungle. We had a private Villa and the room and amenities blew us away - indoor and outdoor shower, private pool, deck chairs etc as well as personal buttler. Great gym, excellent food and drinks and a special touch welcoming ceremony. The staff are just phenomenal and bend over backwards for you with nothing being to much to ask - a Massive thank you to Citra, Lia, Adi, Windy and Marta for all they did for us in making our stay so incredible. A must stay if in Ubud!

Ubud has always been one of my favorite place in Bali.

Ubud has always been one of my favorite place in Bali. The home to one of the best cultural festivals, and host to plenty of local galleries highlighting local artists. Food is also great if you're willing to go out of your way to find local food. Otherwise, it's western food all the way. Plenty of vegetarian options, though.

It is remote location with not much accessibility to shopping, restaurants, and other activities. Recommended for people who prefer calm and quiet area and has vehicle for commutation. No spas available nearby, need to go to Ubud center.

It's a lovely area much quieter than Ubud but still lots of cafes etc. The Instagrammers taking selfies is a bit over the top...but they're everywhere. Great views of the rice terraces and beautiful waterfalls and temples in the area.

The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. The villas we stayed in were beautiful, quiet and off the main street, but there was nothing to do (other than get a driver).

Beautiful sea view, near to sanur, denpasar, and ubud, but beach has plastic and wooden trash. During rainy season, moths come out every where outside and inside villa. Kitchen is separate from the villa, overall, villa needs upgrade.

Ubud is the spiritual center of Bali and well worth the visit. The city center is a bit congested but fun to hang out in for sites, cafes, bars, shops and restaurant. Was great staying about 10-15min scooter ride north of the city center. Much quieter and plenty of great cafes & restaurants. The Pyramid of Chi, various waterfalls, and rice terraces were exciting and rewarding visits as well. Be sure to schedule some Yoga and meditation at your hotel or with one of the local spiritual or spa centers.

Fresh air, rice terraces, Balinese people are very friendly and courteous. Nature, vegatation, forest.. waterfalls and temples. My husband and I stayed at Aksari Ubud Resort & Spa … this place is my personal version of paradise. Staff were very cordial… they aim to please … the resort has great amenities and awesome infinity pools. The entire place has wifi, room has smart TV with Netflix, the resort is clean and very well maintained and smells like aromatherapy (spa) with “zen” music..,
