House was equipped with all necessary equipment: quite big fridge, electric stove, microwave. We even found electric grill and coffee filter. Location was quite, aside of other campers. Pebble beach without urchins was in 3 minutes walking distance. In a couple of days we were proposed to get new towels. Also there was a long hotel promenade we could walk. It is stunningly beautiful, we visited at the end of September expecting it to be less busy however there were literally thousands of cruise ship passengers doing tours all day. I think if I were to return it would have to be very early in the season or maybe even November!! We ate at a recommended restaurant just outside the Pile Gate called Dubravka, the food & service were very good & the price reasonable & the view was lovely. Split & the whole of Croatia has so much history to explore. I would recommend a walking tour, unfortunately we did not have enough time. The shops are lovely to walk around, blended into Diocletian's palace, beautiful place. Picasso's cafeb/bar beside our accommodation was lovely for breakfast, get there early as it fills up quickly. Cavtat was a relatively quiet little town with beautiful views across the bay and a good range of restaurants, most reasonably priced. A good base for seeing Dubrovnik, with its spectacular medieval old town and city walls next to the sea, along with a few other islands. We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik Airport. We started our Croatia holiday in Split, then did a Bike and Boat through the islands, ending up in Dubrovnik. Seeing how far Dubrovnik is from the airport, I sought closer accommodations, and it was a quick 10 minutes in the early morning when our driver picked us up at 5:40 a.m. After being there, for one day, I wish I could have spent several days there just relaxing!Guest review byBarbaraUnited States
