Iridium is a EU funded housing project aimed at refurbishing 100+ year old houses. It is accomplished with a greatvsence of respect for original materials. The views from the room - Iris - are spot on like on the fotos. The apartment is at a stone’s throw from the yacht harbor right in the old town of Kavala. It has everything you need for a self-cateted stay: fridge, coffee machine… The rooms are spacious and would fit a family of 4. Charis, the owner, has plenty of recommendations, be it for beaches, restaurant, you name it. They took always only a few minutes to answer any requests. We will definitely return and will never stay anywhere else but at Iridium.

The hotel is newly renovated in a modern style. Very nice, extremely clean with everything you need. The Nespresso coffee machine in the room was a bonus. The bed was so comfortable we were struggling to get up in the morning :D Every room is overlooking the beach. The view from our room was stunning. The breakfast was tasty and everything was fresh! The hotel staff were beyond kind and helpful! They were always checking if we need anything and how is our stay going. The bar staff were also very nice and friendly. They were always there if we need anything. The beach was clean. It’s a very family friendly place! Best experience ever!!!

Very nice place for someone looking for some privacy, relaxing time and nice nature. The house is directly at the beach, which is pretty much only for you. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Having a private sunbed and an umbrella at the beach directly in front of the house was great. Parking places are included and house not difficult to find.

    The food when we had upon our arrival was excellent and the price for what we ordered was very reasonable. Also the restaurant and the houses we stayed were both well decorated, spacious and comfortable enough. Christmas decorations were also super. Other than the facility itself, the way the landladies welcome and support you is amazing and you feel as if you are friends for years and where you stay is your own house and land because of hospitality and close interest of the landladies Kalyop, Sofia and landlord Vasili. We stayed only one night there, had lunch and breakfast which were both successfully delicious, the nature is full of peace with fresh air and green fields around, you feel that all the environment belongs to you and you belong to there as if you, your parents were born there, you are originally from that area. We went there with my child's classmate's parents and they were also very pleased to be staying at this hotel.

    Amasing hotel location. You can see all Kavala from the balcony from 3th floor. The room was big enough. The receptionists were really friendly. We went to the city center by bus No. 11. Schedule you can find on internet, about half an hour every day. The bus station is 50 m from the hotel.

    People were nice everywhere, food was delicious in every restaurant that we visited, not expensive at all. Recommend to everyone they visit Ntinos sweets shop Only thing I didn’t like was that in the evenings theres so much cars in this small town that we took 1.5 hours to find a parking spot

    It's a nice town, but nothing special.

    It's a nice town, but nothing special. The beach is huge, and the side facing the harbor is very shallow with quiet water. There isn't a pedestrian area in the town and the traffic near the harbor where most of the taverns are can be quite busy. There are also tons of mosquitos after sunset.

    A small village that is not very pretentious. The central beach is very narrow, but there are two restaurants in front of which there are wonderful sun loungers and good service. We were in front of the Cactus restaurant and were very satisfied.

    Ofrynio Beach is a place under development, with a lot of buildings under constructions. There is a lot of dust everywhere. Still, the beach is really lively and high quality. Then, travelling by car, with an EV, there were NO carwash places around at all and also there is only one slow charging place with two stalls in the whole area.

    The main city beach is crowded, with sun loungers literally touching the water. Further away, there is a nice wild beach, but you have to walk quite a distance to get there. Apartment prices are inflated. Prices in cafes are also high. Overall, this place is too touristy.

    It is a Village near to the city of Kavala. It is very well organised and it has local markets, a park, place for live shows, beach, coffee shops and taverns. The prices there are much cheaper on the entire region of Kavala.

    It was a good location to see local archaeological and historical sites but also to explore the villages and beaches nearby. I have been here before, and so this trip was focused on physical therapy at the clay baths and relaxing on the beach.

    Intimacy, luxury, peace, waves and the beach practically in the yard of the house. Shopping can be done in the first large town, 20 km away, and you can cook everything in the modern equipped kitchen. The terraces of the house where the meal is served are more fabulous than those of any 5-star restaurant. Although the beach is rocky, there are no inconveniences, only benefits because you can swim, dive all day long in the privacy of the house's yard. The hosts are incredible, they offer you their home with such openness, kindness, trust that you feel like a friend and not a tourist.

    This was my second time in Kavala, but only for one night.

    This was my second time in Kavala, but only for one night. Last year we stayed 2 nights, maybe next time we could stay longer, as it has everything you need for a cosy vacation, wonderful restaurants, friendly people, beaches around and in Kavala will make your summer vacation wonderful, in spring or autumn would it be also nice. Not a big city, but clean and sturdy.
