- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 139 reviewsThe hotel is amazing! Its located right next to a slope and 3 ski lifts. It is surrounded by a little forest which gives a very nature-Christmassy view from the balcony. Although it is close to a slope, it is very quiet around. We've stayed in Chalet 1, which is connected to the main chalet by an outdoor corridor. Every morning, while going to breakfast we had 2-3 seconds of freshness, which is really nice. The best part is, that the ski room was right opposite to our room in that corridor. So, when we went skiing, we just had to came out to the corridor, take the skis and we are on the slop. This is what I call ski-in/ski out. The hotel and the room are spacious and very clean. Towels were changed and floors cleaned daily. There is a bar with a pool table, restaurant, terrace and a sauna onsite. The dinners were exceptional, when we’ve booked a half-board, we thought it is going to be a buffet type dinner, we were pleasantly surprised that we had different chef menu from every evening. He made it really interesting, if you had a fondue/raclette one night, the next evening he gave us a light dinner menu, so we didn’t eat heavy stuff two nights in a row. In one week of our stay, he had never repeated any dish - one night beef steak, the other fish, then fondue, than scallops. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend and explain. Thanks to the reception team Elise and Margaux for their help in fulling all our requests; either it was late check in and night dinner in room or a taxi from another town or fix up the skis the skin shop. Thanks to Arthur for picking us up and brining to town almost daily. Special thanks to the Director Julie. This is the person that gives her soul and love to this hotel. She was paying maximum attention to us; she was available 24/7 for any questions or request. I haven't had any experience like this from directors before. Very friendly and interesting to talk to.Guest review byNIKITAUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 105 reviewsLoved the garden you walk through to get to our room. The terrace was beautifully upkept with great views - very peaceful. We liked the size of the room, the breakfast was very good, and the private sauna was a great amenity. The bed was so comfortable! Our host, Genova, was very kind and accommodating and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. We very much enjoyed our stay here.Guest review byChelseyUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.5Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 30 reviewsComfortable room, excellent storage locker/ room for skis. Adequate variety of food. Chef made the effort to check what was gluten-free if he didn't immediately know or was unsure- appreciated.; staff did the same when the chef was not there - also appreciated for making that effort.Guest review byMichaelAustralia

The apartment is very accommodating.
The apartment is very accommodating. We spent a lot of time there as there was a heat wave and with four people it was just right. It has a good kitchen and two bathrooms so nobody got in each others way. Very close to the centre of Bourg and close to restaurants in the area. We will have no trouble booking again if we are in that area. As there was only four people in our group it was great but it says it is for eight people and that would be a squeeze as there are bunk beds in some rooms. Otherwise thank you for making it a nice place to stay and my transporter fitted in the underground car park with no trouble. definitely recommend as all the people in my group would.Guest review bymark, devonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A good selection of runs of different difficulties, plenty of runs for beginners. Good lift system. Some of the bars were a bit rough and ready. Restaurant 2134 was excellent. Easy access to 1950 where the quality and variety of food shops was better.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great for beginners and intermediates.
Great for beginners and intermediates. Snow sure for later in the season. Family friendly but lots going on for those looking for apres ski. Good variety of food. Beautiful scenery. Great choice of ski runs for skiers and boarders alike.Guest review byCrystalUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It is a nice extensive ski area, with good lifts and well-maintained slopes and fairly guaranteed snow. The village looks cozy, we only find the restaurants in Arc 1950 to have deteriorated a bit, the menu is almost the same everywhere. And some come across as food barns.Guest review byMichaelNetherlands - 8.0
Quick access to some of the harder runs eg.
Quick access to some of the harder runs eg. Comborciere, Malgovert and Bois d'Ours without going up the Aiguille Rouge, but a bit tough to get home for less confident skiers down a fairly steep red run. Be careful of the new Secret red run parallel to the Comborciere if you're not keen on ice too! Much more of a village than Arc 1800 but restricted restaurant choice of 5 or 6 and very little nightlife. Most restaurants are OK but no standouts.Guest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great for cheaper and more spacious accommodation and ten minute trip up the hill in the regular funicular to get to Arc 1600. Saves a 50 minute car drive, especially if snowy or time is key. Though usually no snow itself in Bourg. Pretty old town and a functional new town on parallel street. Big supermarkets for stocking up.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Have stayed many times and always had good snow.
Have stayed many times and always had good snow. This season there was less than usual but still enough to ski the whole area right down to the village. Was quieter that usual when we were there but didn’t detract from experience. Everything you need is very accessible so you can maximise your time, which is especially useful for shorter stays.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Staying in Arc 1950 has been a dream since I first skied through it a few years ago. Skiing from here could not be easier - village is entirely pedestrianised with underground car parking linked conveniently via lifts to all the various accommodations. All accomms have direct access to the pistes - ski out from the boot rooms, through the village and straight on to a big blue run or cross it for ski lifts (Marmotte and Bois de l'Ours). Various ski hire options in village, great bakery open good hours, and decent, well stocked Carrefour all within a 5min walk. Lively little village with plenty going on and options for all ages. Recommend booking underground parking space in advance with Effia. Overall, a magical experience and can't wait to be back there again :)Guest review byHollyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and sports shops with good access to resorts like Les Arcs and La Rosière. Very walkable; not too big and not too small. Need to be patient with traffic between 5pm - 7pm during peak season.Guest review byAndrewSpain
