I stayed two days, which was my plan, but the weather was...
I stayed two days, which was my plan, but the weather was really bad. Lots of rain and wind. In decent weather, this would be a terrific city to explore. In the rain, I had to dodge into (beautiful) churches to keep dry, and to just make sure I wasn't out too much in the bad weather. But be aware that the famous column, for which Olomouc is so well known, is undergoing a complete renovation and is surrounded by scaffolding, so you can't see it. This won't be completed until 2027, unfortunately. But I found some good restaurants, and speaking a bit of Czech really helped me a lot. I was here to do some family tree research, found the place delightful. Pity there were no street bikes to hire, as the 3 bike shops in town didn’t quite understand English. I liked the amount of pubs, smaller restaurants and stores. There's also a great place selling Velkolosinsky Praliny and even a local pivovar! Also o small park and a casual bike trails. We haven't even visited Termy, but liked it for it's Czech feeling!Guest review bySewerynPoland - 10

Nice city, its possible to visit all historical places in one day if u r in hurry, if u want to enjoy the place, its perfect for 2-4 days of staying. Most of these places are closed to each other.
