- From $129.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 418 reviewsThe property is managed by the restaurant 'Stou Kir Yianni' which is itself an Inn, with lodging upstairs. They have several housing units in the village which are like an extension of the Inn. The place we stayed at was one of those units - the Chelidoni cottage. This review relates to that cottage. We thought the house was perfect for a romantic getaway. It has a bedroom, master bath, and decent balcony upstairs, and living room and kitchenette & 1/2 bath downstairs. It is recently renovated and very modern, yet at the same time rustic and romantic (those stone walls!). The renovation was very tastefully done, with an eye out for both convenience and charm. Separate remote control A/C unit in each floor warmed the place nicely. I'm sure they will do just as well in summer. Our hosts loaded the small fridge with water bottles & had basic supplies waiting - tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo etc. Much appreciated! There are too many other details to mention, so I won't. It's a small place - make no mistake - but a lovely one. The included breakfast is at the Inn (naturally) and is simple and generous. We felt like we were taken care of - and everyone was wonderfully nice. The village itself is quite lively with options for dining and shopping. We were there midwinter - so much was closed, but even so.Guest review byGilUnited States

Swimming pool small but big enough for the amount of guests. Breakfast excellent. Would definitely recommend.Guest review bySharonUnited Kingdom

Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus.
Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus. it has a lovely vibe and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. I recommend Pendeli Hotel for a luxurious stay or forest park if looking for a very budget friendly stay. Petit Palais is one of the oldest hotels in the square and is loved by locals and tourists. EnPlatron is one of my favourite Taverns offering great traditional dishes and live music on weekends. Kaledonia Tavern is also a favourite local tavern so make sure to give it a try Cleopatra Bistro is a favourite for modern dining and deserts and beverages. Beautiful and modern decor if looking for yummy fast food try I Sitzia Tou Mavrou for a delicious GyrosGuest review byPasso82Cyprus - 10.0
Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural...
Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of tranquility. Its picturesque setting, with stone houses, cobblestone streets, and lush landscapes, creates an idyllic atmosphere for visitors. The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Additionally, the calming sound of the river that flows through the area, like the one you can hear in the backyard of Maritsa Lodge, offers a unique sense of inner peace, almost like the natural white noise of the outdoors. In the village center, the traditional architecture remains intact, with taverns like Podji Poda serving excellent local cuisine, and small cafés welcoming you for a relaxing drink and dessert in the main square. Landmarks such as the chapels of Saint Nicholas and Saint George provide opportunities for pilgrimage, while Marina's Rope Park offers activities for the more adventurous visitors. Overall, Kakopetria is an ideal destination for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, blending absolute tranquility with opportunities for outdoor activities and cultural exploration.Guest review byDimitris31Cyprus - 10.0

nice traditional little village in the mountains. worth a visit for the local sights (lampadistis monastery, winery, old village, spas) as well for short trips around the area (kykkos monastery, villages of pedoulas, moutoullas, kakopetria)Guest review byChristodoulosCyprus - 10.0
We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night.
We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night. The village is beautiful with a lot of history. In my opinion it’s one of the nicest villages in Cyprus. Full of history too with a small free museum that is extremely interesting. The village is small so you can walk around it in a very short time and it’s so beautiful you really should walk around. For night life, most restaurants and the bakers close around 6.30pm ish. There are a couple of places that open til midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However I really think this is a gem not to be missed.Guest review bypamelaCyprus - 10.0

Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Agros is very, very clean and the water is super tasty)Guest review byAlenaCyprus - 8.0

Pedoulas was a wonderful base from which to explore this area of the Troodos Mountains. It was our first time in the mountains of Cyprus and we wanted to see sites such as Kykkos Monastery, Archangel Michaels church etc. and to do nature trails in the mountains. We achieved these objectives very comfortably from our location and could also move on to the west coast with a scenic (but very winding!) drive back down to sea level:)Guest review byRichardAustralia - 8.0

Its within close proximity to multiple mountain villages and its super close to major amenities such as pharmacies, a large supermarket (Alfamega), a cafe and bakery in the area that stays open until late!Guest review byFrosoCyprus - 6.0
Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do.
Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do. However, villages such as Pelendri, Agros, Kyperounta are near by and have plenty of things to do. Do visit the taiakkas winery near pelendri for a nice immersive experience. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Symposio Taverna in pelendri.Guest review byJuliaCyprus - 10.0
