- From US$118.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 1,137 reviewsMy flight was delayed and even though I arrived at 2am, the staff made sure I has access to my room. Throughout my stay, the resort staff were so kind and courteous, via Whatsapp everyday, they checked in to see if I needed housekeeping. I liked I had the choice! The room was exceptionally clean and tidy when I arrived, so I opted for housekeeping only every 2 to 3 days. There is dedicated wifi in each apartment, only lost connection once when there was an electricity outage, but this was short. The location is just stunning! Borneo Villas are on the shoreline of a stunningly beautiful and isolated beach. The oceans waters are clean, although please note there is no beach lifeguard so swimming at sea is the guests own responsibility. There are several swimming pools that can be used too. The staff are happy to arrange everything for you that you cannot do onsite! They will arrange transfers to town/airport and also laundry if needed. Sabah has many stunning attractions and the staff work with various operators to ensure you can maximise your experience in this stunning part of the world! There is also a 24 hour cafe on site! Great for jetlagged guests! There are kitchenette facilities too. My stay was just wonderful! I shall return!Guest review byLindsayHong Kong
- From US$109.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.5Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 287 reviewsEverything was excellent! The spacious 1 bedroom suite was amazing with steam shower and whirlpool bath. We had balcony facing swimming pool and the beach. Very quiet place with not so many people around...you can have the beach just for yourself most of the day. Cleaning every day. Staff very helpfull..organized for us car rental, airport transfer and trips. The place is a bit remote (restaurants are in the Nexus hotel nearby-free transfer) or you can walk along the beach. I loved that we got a pocket wifi..so we could stay connected everywhere.Guest review byKatie HoncuSpain

For a town of 500,000 people there should be many more waterfront restaurants available to tourists and local population. National Museum was closed, the observation tower was closed and the Cultural village did not look genuine (plastic flowers used all over the village!?). I would recommend a max. stay of 2 days + 1 day for islands visit.Guest review byLukeNew Zealand - 10.0
Genuine, exotic and unique city.
Genuine, exotic and unique city. A small big city, easy to capture and take around, beautiful walks by Sarawak River, beautifully illuminated evenings and totally awesome night market with food to die for! Street following shore is full of shops, selling genuine handicrafts for a dime. get aquinted with the rich culture and handicrafts of the local tribes. Please do get in contact with locals, local culture and art! Enjoy the friendliness and hospitality. This is the very city where I felt I am far away from home, yet I felt home, welcome. Food to die for. Visit Campung Boyan, eat by local food markets, take a TAMPANG across or along the river, costs a dime. I warmly recommend Kutching!Guest review byMikael LauriDenmark - 10.0

Miri is great shopping at places like Bintang Megamall, Boulevard and Permaisuri Mall. great places to eat in Miri and everytime we go to miri we go to 🍽️ Dapur Ria Nasi Lemak Located in Pelita Commercial Centre, this spot is known for its delicious and affordable nasi lemak—perfect for breakfast. Important and interesting history related to the British...
Important and interesting history related to the British influence for town development; especially the story that unfolded and is memorialized about the war years and the sad fate of many Aust & Brit POW's and the of local Sabah supporters and underground. The history of extensive logging and use of timber was of professional interest to me as a forester. The brutal destruction of the timber buildings by the Japanese military was bad - and the gradual rebuild over following 10 -20 years is remarkable. Its notablel that the central city is declining due to lack of regular upgrade and maintenance, and influx of certain migrant groups and housing needs. Also notable that commercial business and new shops have expanded out into modernized precincts away from town centre. Proximity to Sepolik rainforest reserve and other wildlife conservation parks is great for travellers to eastern Sabah. Local malaysian people are friendly and easy to relat to in the main.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 8.0
Kundasang is truly a gem in Sabah!
Kundasang is truly a gem in Sabah! Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and cool, refreshing air, it’s the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway with family. The scenic drive up is already a treat, and once you arrive, the lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it feel like a world away from the city. We enjoyed exploring local attractions like the Desa Dairy Farm, the Alpaca Club, the vegetable markets, and the beautiful gardens. The area is also rich in culture and history, with nearby memorial sites and traditional food experiences. One of the highlights was staying at a cozy homestay near Selera Kebun, where we got to enjoy authentic dishes like nasi linopot and gulai lemak cili padi rusa salai—a must-try for food lovers! Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with nature, or enjoy local flavors, Kundasang offers a memorable experience for all ages.Guest review byZ0272Malaysia - 10.0
Combination of classic/old town and modern living.
Combination of classic/old town and modern living. The best thing in Sibu for me is the variety of food that you can have with cheap price! Of course my favorite is the Kampua Mee. If you love shopping, there's lot of shops where you can buy things for low price. But of course, the Sibu Night Market is the most attractive place for me.Guest review byMaxelleMalaysia - 6.0

The place is not for everybody, very poor people, small homeless children playing and begging around, however I enjoyed the local experience. There is nothing to do here so if you are going for diving you are ok or for an island hopping tour that was very nice snorkelling.Guest review bySkabaCzech Republic - 8.0

Bintulu town is a great place to visit. Been to the local beach in the evening after the visit to the Tumbina park. Few good malls we visited n did a bit shopping. Nice restaurants around town n not difficult to find them while driving around. Would like to stay at Similajau National Park once the park is open for overnight stay.Guest review byAmirulMalaysia - 6.0

To be honest, i cant find anything that is more interesting other than cheap beer, chocolate and excellent beach! Labuan does not have that is to offer me staying longer than 2 days. Its because Labuan does not have big malls, does not have proper travelling experience nor anything that give an interest for tourist. Except for having huge event or occasions. The town planner or Labuan Corporation have nothing to create in terms of tourist attractions! Its like waiting for something to be done by the government.Guest review byAlfian Awang OsmanMalaysia - 4.0
