Picturesquely located at the foot of a green hill overlooking the town of Shumen, the luxuriously decorated Familly Art Hotel Nirvana features individually coloured accommodation. This hotel is beautiful from the design of the building itself, to the décor of the interior spaces, restaurant, and rooms. The whole place gives a sense of calm and relaxation. The restaurant breakfast options were good and we enjoyed eating in their beautiful outdoor space with comfortable day-beds to soak up the morning sun with your espresso or tea in hand. I lived in Shumen for over two years, and I will only stay here when I return for visits from here on. Stop hesitating and book a room here!

Family Hotel Preslav in Veliki Preslav features a garden and a terrace. With a bar, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Everything! This is another of those absolute gems; spacious, extremely comfortable, and the lady on reception was so helpful in every way. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool with a jacuzzi facility on the one side, and space to stretch out and relax on recliners. It was extremely hot, so the excellent aircon was most welcome. It even made self catering relatively easy, although the excellent hotel restaurant away across the main square had superb food at reasonable prices. This is a lovely little town with all the facilities one could wish for, and we loved it. I even had an excellent haircut at the local barber for just 10 Leva.
