Fab hotel. Booked this last minute and was not disappointed. All staff were fantastic & couldn't of done any more for me. Meal was lovely and was handy having the laundry facility there. Mackay wasn't on my intinary to stop but the staff made this an enjoyable stay, and took away from the stress of not being able to reach my original destination of Airlie Beach due to road closures and weather conditions.

Under cover parking made things a lot easier when having to pack and repack after a long drive. The room was incredibly clean, comfortable bed and super quiet at night. The restaurant on site is well priced, delivers to your room and serves an excellent stir fry! Just what you want after a long 8 hr drive from up north.

Close proximity to city centre and major shopping centre; management was very obliging with whatever I wanted, even drove me to shopping centre so I didn't have to walk; complimentary daily continental breakfast was more than well stocked; the daily room straightening was also a welcome surprise. All in all, the motel was the best part of my stay.
