Extremely good localisation! The ski slopes are really just outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious! Saunas were always empty so we were able to use them. The swimmingpool has water at a very pleasant temperature. The gym was also usually empty and easily usable. It was very silent in the hotel. It is a very good option to buy dinners at the hotel as there is very limited number of other open restaurants in Obertauern!

A unique destination for a holiday! The hotel’s modern design impresses with details that keep you entertained throughout your stay. A special highlight is the two game rooms, featuring everything from the latest gaming consoles to retro pinball machines—perfect for teenagers, but equally fun for adults. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even going out of their way to meet our specific requests, which we truly appreciated. The food was excellent, with a diverse selection to suit all tastes. The spa was also a great experience, and the easy access to and from the ski slopes made our stay even more enjoyable.

    The hotel has a gorgeous view! Wish the rooms all had the same view- though I stayed in the junior suite, it was on the 1st floor and it was as wow as I would have wanted. But if you’re here to ski, it has a great location- a bridge that connects directly to the slopes, so you can ski in and out. The ski lifts are just a small slope down hill. The hotel also has conveniently located lockers for your ski gears. If you need to rent, the ski shop (with fabulous service and good quality equipment) is right at the hotel. The hotel can also arrange for ski lessons and purchase of the lift pass. There’s a lovely spa with a small pool and gym downstairs. Kids play area is small, with just enough to entertain for a short afternoon of poor weather. The buffet breakfast has a lovely spread and even includes Prosecco if you drink in the morning! Dinner menu is a five course, pricey so skip unless you prefer not to trudge out for a meal, which is about a 8min uphill walk. It is also in the middle of the two bus stops at Oberteaurn , so expect to walk 7-10 mins either way (upslope or downslope) Overall I would say this hotel is great if you want to ski, or chill at the lobby area to watch people ski.     Perfect location, on a ski slope, just by the enterance to 2 ski lifts (Edelweiss and Platten) - you practically enter ski lift from the hotel. We had breakfast and dinner included, which were creative and delicious. The staff were great, really pleasant and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable with typical alpine furniture. We also used sauna and gym which were clean and well equipped.

    We were on our road back home and decided to do sleepover, this hotel exceeded our expectation. Location was great in mountains, everything perfectly clean and staff very friendly. In the end we regretted that it was only one night but we will definitely come back. Extra plus for dogs being allowed in breakfast room!

    Huge selection of food and all of it of exceptional quality (often organic). Super delicios and fine dining quality dinners. The wellness areas are also luxiorious with big tea and drink selection (for free). No matter what is the weather outside, you can spend a wonderful time inside the hotel with your family.

    Beautiful, cozy hotel with smiling staff, amazing cuisine. It was especially delicious. Heated pool, saunas, just everything you could want after a great day of skiing. Amazing landscape, mountains all around. You can practically ski right up to your room.

    Great restaurants, worth booking a table if you're in a larger group and they open later in the evening, like 5-6pm. Various menu options including vegan/vegetarian. On the slopes the bars are playing very loud music but serve quickly so you don't wait too long.

    It is a very beautiful and quiet town.

    It is a very beautiful and quiet town. Beautiful views of the mountains. Ideal for hiking. There is a very nice river that runs parallel to the main road. Maybe there should be an ice cream parlor in the summer. That would be nice.

    If you want your skiing winter experience to be idyllic, be sure to book a room right here. Hotel on the trail + extraordinary food offer (breakfast, lunch, mid-meal and dinner) + activities and content for the youngest and super-friendly staff will make your annual event unforgettable. The possibility of leaving the hotel directly on the ski lift and already in the first slope to feel the perfect tracks or powder trails, simply magical. Plus, while Obertauern is covered in natural snow, other surrounding ski resorts don't offer nearly as much satisfaction.

    Favourite places: the beautiful mountains, lakes around the walking trails, you can do paddle boarding on one of the lakes, free of charge hiring the board and paddle, breathtaking views Binggl Bakery: wide variety of pastries, bread and coffee, great place to have breakfast. Pink Flamingo: Delicious burgers and pizzas, tasty lemonades Freiwild: Friendly and fast service, delicious beef goulash/stew, pesto and mozzarella chicken, Cordon bleu, fresh mixed salad, hommade chocolate mousse, cottage cheese strudel and berries, great elderflower lemonade It is really easy to get around Obertauern with google maps Plan your visit at least for a week in summer, there is so much to do and the place is incredibly laid back and relaxing.
