Although Green Hope Lodge is family run and thinly staffed, we received attentive services from Mr Luan (the main host), who spoke fluent English and patiently addressed all our questions about transportation to Cat Tien, booked taxi/bus for us where necessary, helped us to book tours at the Park Headquarters, and provided anti-leech socks and cream for the wild gibbons trekking tour. The room was equipped with basic facilities but very clean with a scenic “balcony” outside overlooking the Dong Nai river. Surprisingly there wasn’t any mosquitoes (but mosquito incense sticks and mosquito nets were nonetheless provided). We had lunch and dinner at the lodge and the meals were very yummy and reasonably priced (one third cheaper but more delicious than in the Yellow Bamboo restaurant near the Park Headquarters). Their fried rice and stir fried vegetables were outstanding. I’d highly recommend Green Hope Lodge.

I arrived in the afternoon when the heat was intense. However, the thoughtful staff has turned on the AC in my tipi before I checked in. I was able to relax and do some work on my laptop in the, by then, positively cold tipi. Loved the beautiful evening breeze off the lake and had almost 9 hours of the deepest sleep I’ve had in months. Something about that fresh air… The BBQ dinner was excellent with grilled steak, veggies and mashed potato . To top it off, as I was leaving the staff gave me fresh, organic bananas they grow on site. I regret leaving the vegetables they wanted me to take too but I had no space in my backpack. Definitely a place I want to get back to.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the owner is really friendly and professional. There is a big parking space and even a water pipe to wash your dirty motorcycle.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The tiny houses are very new and super clean, comfy and well equipped, located in a very beautiful garden. The hosts were so kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. I can definitely recommend this accommodation for a calm weekend in the nature away from the busy city but very easy to reach. It is also as a very good place for a family with children or a group of friends but also very cozy for a couple!

Exellent two-days stay! Good airco after a hot day on the motorcycle! The host does his best to make my stay as good as possible. And ... the views on the lake and the life of the fishermen are exellent. No restaurant but good breakfast and a restaurant nearby. And a dry and safe place for my big motorcycle!

Trust me, the price is just right. Prepare yourself for an absolutely fabulous time at Family Garden House!

Whether we were enjoying the sunshine by the water or exploring the surroundings, every moment felt magical. It’s rare to find a place that combines such natural beauty with amazing service and comfort. This homestay exceeded all expectations and provided us with memories we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a slice of paradise!
