The property has amazing views, and is situated on a slight hill. There is a walkway that takes you down the back to a private beach. There is also a town with groceries, and food stops that are delicious, and a swimmable bay with lifeguards posted. The beach at the back is slightly steep and through a little forest area and stream, but with the right shoes like runners it’s easy. We did it with a 22month baby in a front carrier. Our toddler loved the beach as it is shallow and calm. We also loved the fruit trees on the property: Avocados, mangos, lemon, and lime trees. There is a stick left to help you pick the fruit. Our toddler enjoyed running through the rock/grass garden and playing with the numerous wind chimes. The Hosts were simply amazing, kind, and generous. They are available to help with any inquiries, and are always ready to offer a helping hand. We would happily return for another visit.

Located overlooking beautiful Castara Bay, Castara Retreats is a family-run eco resort offering self-catering accommodations set in 2 acres of tropical gardens. We stayed at the Treetop at Castara Retreats and the view was phenomenal! We were surrounded by plush foliage and sounds and views of Castara Bay, birds and beauty. We were even able to catch a view of a stingray while we were in our apartment condo looking into the ocean. The open layout of the condo, the ambience and relaxing vibe, the warmness of the entire village, the clear ocean and mangoes☺️ everything was delightful! We enjoyed dinner for our daughter’s birthday at the onsite restaurant with sunset views- a modern take on Caribbean cuisine. When we wanted more authentic food we walked into the village to purchase food at Riverside Local Cuisine- we had breakfast there almost everyday, and we ate at Duck’s Seaside grill and Cafe and frequented the grocery store- D-Genius supermarket. We were picked up and dropped back to the airport. Porridge and the entire team were gracious and accommodating! We will definitely be back!
